I was extremely disappointed by the quality of galbi I got. I ordered both regular galbi and hanwoo (Korean beef) and they were both substandard. First of all, the galbi was thinner than what youโd normally get at other restaurants, and it was very dry and chewy. A good galbi should have enough fat so that when you bite into it the juice from the meat should fill your mouth. The galbi at this restaurant had none of that. Came here looking at raving reviews, but we were taken aback by the initial ordering process - that is, minimum 200g order per number of pax solely on the bbq meat page (ie min 2 x 200g for 2 pax).
However we were then pleasantly surprised at the quality of the banchan (side dishes) - oysters, crabs and fish, on top of really good kimchi and other dishes eg pancake.
