This pub is where I go when I feel homesick, when I want to watch MLB games, when I want to talk to bartenders or strangers and make new friends. This spacious bar located up the road of 해방촌길 may seem new, but they only moved from their much smaller location to this place now. During happy hours, already reasonable priced drinks become 1/2 the price and it is a perfect reason for you to get day-drunk. The amount of get-together, game nights, drag shows, performances I had the pleasure of attending in this bar is remarkable. Their food is what exactly you need from a bar. Is it a fancy delicacy? No. Is it delicious? Yes. Is it a lot? Yes. What more would you need when you are hanging out with your friends on a Friday night getting drunk, other than some pizza, wings, fries, etc. Honestly, out of many great places in HBC neighborhood, this bar really is my absolute favorite. Back in 2014 Phillies was one of the best places to drink after you've already been drinking. It may have been a good place to start, but I never did... I visited a few days ago (in 2020) and saw it has changed. Not necessarily in a bad way. Food was excellent. We got the buffalo chicken sandwich, a Philly cheese steak and fries.... All delicious! We also got 2 rounds of pheasant shots. We plan on coming back on Thursday nights! It's going to be awesome!

Phillies Is still a great place to start or continue drinking and get food (even if your not drinking) Go...

We were there for wings night, so the only menu item I can comment on is the wings.

Fantastic.

I like them hot, the Beloved less so, and they had a wide offering to meet our tastes. Plenty of sauce and the side veggies were great complement. Service was prompt and cheerful.

We hung around a bit in the cozy atmosphere and made a lifelong friend whom we might never see again. It was fun. The barkeeps were happy and engaging.

We're not big bar and wings types, but this place has us sold....
