Meal budget per person (without drinks) Category 1 (under 60000 KRW, 50 USD) Saint Augustin, a Thai restaurant, was started from Seoraemaul in year 2009 and now has 40 restaurants and this Gwangwhamun branch is directly managed by the company headquarters. It is said that the directly managed restaurant has a higher rating than other franchises. The useful tip to enjoy Thai food is: * Poo: Crab *Goong: Shrimp * Neua: Beef * Moo: Pork * Gai: Chicken The representative dishes are: - Yam Wunsen Talay: Glass noodle salad. A little bit spicy but good to stimulate the appetite. - Phad Tounguk: Stir-fried beef and bean spouts. Along with Yam Wunsen Talay, it is recommended as a starter. - Poo Phad Phong Kari: Fred Soft Shell Crab with yellow curry sauce. It is the signature menu and its curry sauce also matches well with fried rice. - Tod Man Goong: Thai Shrimp cake with sweet Chili sauce. It is tasty and helpful especially when other Thai dishes are too spicy. - Gai Phad Med Mamurang: Fried chicken with cashew nut in oyster sauce - Fried Chicken with Tamarind sauce: Very recommendable for kids. - Nasi Goreng: Fried rice. Even though it is sweater than usual, it is tasty and recommended for kids. The restaurant is in B1 of big SFC building. Validated parking is available but valet parking is not available. Staffs are kind and prices are moderate (There are many combo menu so to try many dishes with reasonable price) It is not an upscale restaurant and is good to enjoy something different, exotic with a small budget.

My order looked nothing like the picture in the menu and the sauce was congealed and turned to a thick jelly several seconds after serving. The texture was awful and the meal inedible and so it was sent back. The uninterested staff refused to deduct this from the bill. Unacceptable.

일요일날 오랜만에 집사람과 광화문 서울파이낸스센터 지하1층에 있는 생어거스틴에 갔다. 동남아시아 음식이 생각날 때 떠오르는 음식점으로 메뉴가 다양하다보니 편하게 이용할 수 있어서 좋다. 오랜만에 오다보니 푸팟퐁 커리는 꼭 먹고 싶었는데 세트 메뉴가 있어서 고민없이 바로 주문하였다. 세트 메뉴 먹다가 부족하면 쌀국수 시키려고 했는데 이것만으로도 배가 불러 추가주문 할 수가 없었다. 푸팟퐁커리맛은 여전히 좋다. 깔라만시 음료도 레몬맛이라 입안을 깔끔하게 한다. 광화문쪽에 오면 주차가 편하고 2시간까지 주차할 수 있어 항상 서울파이낸스센터를 이용한다.
