Great place to have a good healthy food at a reasonable price.

This small restaurant is not that easy to find cause itโ€™s located in the back alley on the busy street off the road.

Youโ€™ll see thereโ€™s an old wooden-signboard saying โ€œsince 1968โ€ over the door. Wow Iโ€™m pretty sure there arenโ€™t that many old restaurants which is still successfully running for long years in Seoul.

The restaurant serves only one single menu that is a dried -pollack soup. It comes with a bowl of plain rice and you get unlimited refill of side dishes which are already set on the table. Unlike usual typical Korean foods using lots of raw garlics, it tastes like there arenโ€™t that much of raw garlics in a soup and side dishes.

And one more thing the price of this humble but healthy food is only โ‚ฉ7500 !!!

Yep ! Compared to the price of a cup of coffee which is almost โ‚ฉ5000, it is a...

I didnโ€™t know what I was in for here, as there isnโ€™t anything in English. It was Lined up, but got a table within 3-4mins. You donโ€™t pick from a menu, they simply served a bowl of what I would describe as similar to ramen: soup with noodles and fish. Iโ€™m not a big seafood fan but it was good. They saw I had finished it and topped me up with another serving. I assumed Iโ€™d pay more, however was very surprised to find that it was free.Donโ€™t be daunted by the lack of foreigners coming here: the fact locals pack in is a good sign.Cost 7500KRW: very cheap. Give it a shot. Final note: itโ€™s not in the exact location shown on the TripAdvisor map. Look to the South East of the...

Wow~~ Iโ€™m pretty sure there arenโ€™t that many old restaurants which is still successfully running for long years in Seoul. The restaurant serves only one single menu that is a dried -pollack soup. It comes with a bowl of plain rice and you get unlimited refill of side dishes which are already set on the table. I love pickled cucumbers and Korean -chives kimchi of this restaurant. They are not spicy or salty. Just enough seasoning actually perfect match with a gentle dried-pollack soup. And a small bowl of watery-kimchi made of sliced radishes and bae-choo. This is soooooo tasty. I think this bland umami of soup attracts many Japanese visitors. Iโ€™ve seen many Japanese coming while I was having a late lunch there. Unlike usual typical Korean foods using lots of raw garlics, it tastes like there arenโ€™t that much of raw garlics in a soup and side dishes. And one more thing the price of this humble but healthy food is only โ‚ฉ7500 !!! Yep ! Compared to the price of a cup of coffee which is almost โ‚ฉ5000, it is a really good price.

This place is literally a one-menu legend. The only thing they serve is dried pollock hangover soup (Bukgeo Haejang-guk) and itโ€™s unbelievable โ€” just 10,000 won. The broth is super clean yet rich, packed with pollock, and it clears you right up. Side dishes are simple but so good โ€” especially the cucumber muchim, tangy and refreshing. Honestly, I could eat that alone with rice. Heads up: they close early, sometimes around 3โ€“4 PM, kind of randomโ€ฆ so go for lunch or an early afternoon meal. If you like Korean food, this spot is an absolute must-try. No other place matches it for value and flavor.

Trending Stays Worth the Hype in Seoul

Find a cozy hotel nearby and make it a full experience.
