Cheonggyecheon Stream — Attraction in Seoul

Cheonggyecheon Stream is an 11 km long stream that runs through Seoul city. Along the there is a broad walking path and many activities goes on around it. Didn't find many tourists there, it was mostly the locals sitting in groups. Also came across an outdoor library. There were chairs for sitting with baskets filled with books. At the end of it there is a little water park and a coffee shop which serves the best cheese cake. Loved the ambience around the stream. I wish I had more time to...

The stream has an interesting history—it was once covered by roads and highways, but was restored and reopened in 2005 as part of a major urban renewal project. Today, it’s a favorite spot for locals who come here to relax, enjoy nature, and change the hectic city vibe. Entrance free of charge

🇨🇿 Cheonggyecheon je osvěžující zelená oáza přímo v srdci rušného centra Soulu. Skvělé místo na klidnou procházku za slunečného dne nebo rychlý útěk od městského shonu. Opravdu jsem si užila svou relaxační procházku podél potoka — klidná voda a malé vodopády vytvářely příjemnou uklidňující atmosféru. Toto místo má zajímavou historii – kdysi byl zakrytý silnicemi a dálnicemi, ale v roce 2005 prošel rozsáhlou obnovou jako součást velkého projektu obnovy města. Dnes je to oblíbené místo místních, kteří sem chodí relaxovat, užívat si přírodu a změnit prostředí hektického města. Una noche mágica en Cheonggyecheon

Había terminado el día caminando por los mercados de Dongdaemun, entre telas, luces y neones. Bajé al río Cheonggyecheon buscando un respiro, sin esperar nada. Pero el silencio del agua y las luces suaves ya hacían que todo se sintiera más lento, más íntimo.

De pronto, entre la bruma ligera y el reflejo de las luces en el agua, vi una grulla solitaria. Alta, elegante, caminaba como si no le importara mi presencia. Me acerqué despacio, con mi cámara en mano. Se detuvo por un instante, como posando. Hice la primera toma. Ella avanzó un poco más. La seguí.

Fue como un sueño: la grulla me guiaba entre el concreto y el agua, bajo puentes y faroles, hasta que finalmente se fue, volando suave sobre el río. Me quedé ahí, en silencio, con esa energía en el aire.

Mi novia estaba conmigo. Le dije que se colocara en medio del puente, bajo una luz tenue. Aún tenía la cámara en la mano, inspiradx, y le hice una sesión improvisada con la grulla como espíritu presente. Las fotos salieron íntimas, etéreas, como si el río mismo nos hubiera prestado su magia.
