Soi Yeonnam — Restaurant in Seoul

I was merely walking around the area and was hungry when I saw the line for this place. I love Thai food so I said why not try it. They have a kiosk out front where you input your phone number and it will give you a waiting number via Kakao. It went by fast, and once you order the food is served to you quickly as well.

Now, the food. It was delicious. Definitely get the egg-rolls no matter what else you order. The Thai iced tea comes from a can. There are two different soups that they have. Both my girlfriend and I like the sour one more, but that's not to say that the normal beef noodle soup was bad in anyway.

I will definitely be coming back to this place to try the rest...

I picked a number around 7:57 (on a Thursday) and was eating by 8:27. I split the Boiled Beef with a friend plus a side order of sticky rice (which wasn't as sticky as I expected). The higher price for the Boiled Beef makes more sense when you see the portion size. The first few bites were great but my friend ended up eating most of it because it was too heavy for me. 위치 : 홍대입구역 3번 출구에서 도보로 10분

맛 : [소고기 국수 / ₩9,500

소고기 국수 : 고기가 뭉텅이로 막 들어간 게, 진짜 태국 쌀국수 먹는 느낌 ! 국물도 너무 묽지 않고, 면도 적절히 얇아서 아주 맛있게 먹었음.

카오카무 : 족발 덮밥임. 솔직히 창렬인데, 우거지랑 같이 먹으면 맛있고 적은 양이지만 그만큼 퀄리티는 괜찮았음.

분위기 : 찐으로 태국 온 줄 알았음. 곳곳에 인테리어며, 음악이며 한국에서 태국 체험하는 느낌임. 향신료 냄새가 많이 나서 그런가, 냄새도 심지어 태국 같음. 테이블이랑 의자도 태국 길거리처럼 후줄근한 느낌임. 근데도 너~무 없어보이지는 않고 매장 깔끔하고 괜찮음. 평소엔 웨이팅 있을 정도로 인기 있는 맛집.

솔직히 비싸서 그렇지, 누가 사준다고 하면 바로 먹으러 갈 듯

Location : It takes 10 minutes from Hongik University station (subway line number 2) exit number 3 on foot.

Taste [beaf soup noodle / $8.02] : It feels like having a ‘REAL’ thai noodle. A lump of meat! [braised pork feet rice / $10.13] : tbh, it’s kinda expensive, but worth it. With special sauce and side dishes, you’ll have better taste of it. Not bad quality of pork.

Mood : Feels like being in ‘REAL’ Thai. Store’s items and even the music they play makes me feel like I’m in Thai. Table and chair detail was amazing. This place is also popular in Koreans, so they usually have waiting line in front of the door - they have waiting booth !
