Editing this to say while my experience in the gift shop was great things took a turn in the cafe. I ordered a coffee for my mom and I to share as we were running low on time and I went to the bathroom while we waited. While I was in the bathroom a pair of cafe workers accosted my mom telling her that she needed to purchase an item for herself if she wanted to sit in the cafe with me. With the language barrier my mom didn’t fully understand but when I got back they came again making a fuss as we only had one coffee on our table. I explained using the papago app that I’d just spent a sizable amount in the gift shop and we wanted to share a drink. They said no, the cafe and the gift shop are separate and that she needed to order something for herself or leave. My senior mom went to go wait outside as a result beaches she didn’t want anything. I looked around at the otherwise empty cafe and saw a family who had 5 people but only 2 drinks and wondered if we were singled out because we were American. I took a single sip of the coffee when it arrived and it was mid at best. I took it up to the counter and left feeling silly for leaving a positive review at first for a free sticker. Overall, you should go for for the gift shop but shouldn’t stay for the cafe. Cafe Layered is in the same area and they are far nicer with great tasting coffee and baked goods. They even wished me a happy birthday after hearing my mom and I talk about it. It’s a shame since the cafe and theme...
Read moreIf you love Ghibli, you will love this Kiki's Delivery Service themed cafe in Seoul! Not only is the interior SO pretty and cozy, the menu items are also delicious! When I went last month I got the super sweet corn latte and the Jiji corn cookie mug tart and both were 9/10! (My only complaint is that each customer is required to order a drink if they want to dine-in! I wish cafes didn't do this!) As for the interior, on the base floor there is a little shop with SO much cute Jiji merch! There is also seating on the base floor but I recommend sitting on the second floor instead! It's bright, super pretty, and filled with decor! There is also a cute rooftop which you should definitely check out! You will even find a basket full of Kiki's iconic red ribbons which you can wear and take pics with!!
Overall, this cafe is a must for your trip to Seoul!

Read moreWent to Koriko's Cafe since my friend and I are huge Ghibli fans. The cafe itself is adorable. The inside is very on theme for Kiki's Delivery Service and the merch store inside has a lot of goodies. We got the meat pie set, the seasonal ade, a Dutch baby, a lemon bundt cake and a fondant au chocolate. The total for all of it came out to under 50,000 won. All of the food was delicious. It all came out hot and fresh. The meat pie was a nice size to split between my friend and I. It came with a small side salad and an Americano which I got iced. The Dutch baby was light and not too sweet. The fondant au chocolate was decadent and I highly recommend it. My friend ate the lemon bundt cake and she said it was really good. All in all a wonderful cafe. I highly recommend this to any Ghibli fan. We'll definitely be coming back in future...
