You ever find yourself near Seoul Station, hungry and not in the mood for the usual? There’s this Thai place—quietly tucked into the B1 floor of Seoul Square. That’s the old Daewoo building, right across from the station. Yeah, that one.

I stopped by on a Wednesday evening in April 2025, around 19:30. Dinner time. I wasn’t expecting much, just something decent. But what I got? Morning glory—simple, stir-fried greens—but done right.

The heat was there, but not overwhelming. A kind of warmth that builds, thanks to what seemed like red chili woven into the flavor, not just sprinkled on top. Salty, savory, with just enough bite. It didn’t scream. It spoke.

The space? Modern, clean, unfussy. Plenty of tables—ten or more for four, a few for two. You walk in, head to the kiosk, make your choice, and that’s it. No fuss.

Food came out fast. No waiting around. The staff kept things smooth without hovering. It felt… considered.

귀한 분과 귀한 식사를 하러가던 중, 평일 점심시간 다른 곳은 다 웨이팅이 너무 긴데, 이 곳은 4인 테이블을 정리중이어서 비싼 가격에도 들어가보았습니다. -실망스러운 점 리스트- 음식 대기시간이 어마어마하다 기다리며 둘러보니 다른 테이블에서도 언제나오냐는 질문이 계속 나온다. 다른 테이블로 갈 음식을 잘못 가져다 주어서 테이블에 올린 음식이 다른 테이블로 옮겨졌다. 옆 테이블에서 냅킨 달라고 휴지달라고 3~4번 말하니 가져다 줬다. 음식이 테이블 단위가 아니라 메뉴 단위로 나온다. (A메뉴 2개, B메뉴 2개 시키면 A메뉴 4개가 나와서 우리 테이블에 2개, 다른 테이블에 2개가 나간다, B메뉴 시킨사람은 계속 기달...) 음식을 가져다주며 무슨 음식인지 물어봐야 말해준다. 늦어서 죄송하다는 인사는 하지 않는다. 음식을 가져다주며 한 말 '뭐세요?'... 뭐라고 답해야 할까 음식 맛은 나쁘지 않은 것 같으나, 가격 대비 훌륭치는 못하다. 여사장 표정이 영 좋지 않다. 돈은 벌고 싶으나 서비스는 하기 싫은 듯하다. 의자가 불편하다. 테이블 간격이 좁고 먹는데 팔에 지나다니는 사람이 부딪힐까 신경쓰인다. 출입구와 통로, 안쪽 테이블의 구성이 이상한지, 다 먹은 사람들이 우르르르 몰려나간다. 먼지나 침 등이 음식에 들어가는 기분이다.

-좋은 점- 주방과 테이블이 2개 공간으로 구분되어 있어 특이하다.

먹고 나오는데 웨이팅 길던 다른 집들도 빈 자리가 듬성듬성 많더군요. 손님을 대할 능력이 부족하면 미리 양해를 구하거나 받지 않는 시간을 두어야지... 기분 좋게 들어갔다가 비싼 돈 내고 다들 골목식당 빌런집같다면서...
