Hotel truly lives up to its name of doing LESS for its guests. I arrived at 9+ am and requested to leave my luggage with them since the check-in time is 5pm (never have I heard of a later check-in time and I’ve travelled a lot). To my surprise, the receptionist (a middle aged Korean woman who speaks zero English) used a translator app to inform me that I will either have to check in early (which I later realise is not possible as there are o available rooms) or pay for a storage charge of 5,000 won per hour. Mind you, I’ve stayed in worse accommodations (inns, hostels etc) and this is my first time hearing that I have to pay to leave my luggage here (not to mention a 5pm check-in time). Needless to say, I left the hotel after 15min of back and forth (and even speaking to her boss on the phone - how strange) and stored my luggage at the subway station.
The only saving grace for this hotel is its location. Avoid at all costs unless you want LESS...
Read moreI booked this place since it was one of the few that was available when I went. Not sure if the price is normal or if it was because it was a holiday so it was on the expensive side.
I was following the Naver map but it was giving me an incorrect direction but I figured it out on my own by going around the block - the entrance was facing the main road.
Check in was 5pm, getting the room keycard was electronic though I wasnt so sure how to use it since someone helped me with it.
It was sad though that I arrived like 4pm and asked if I can leave my backpack but they didnt have free one. The woman in the hotel said that it will cost 10k won for an hour.
There is an elevator but when I got to the room, it was small. People with big luggages might have a hard time. It was enough for 1 person though the price was too much for its size. Much better to go to a different place if the price goes more than 60k...
Read moreThe room is very small - it is very different from what you see on the booking platforms. The platforms show very modern design rooms, but they are not well-maintained. The room is dusty and old. There is no city view as what they claim. Despite it being near Seoul station, it still requires 10 mins walk from the AREX part. It looks like an Airbnb than a hotel. Not worth the money as there are better hotels with cheaper prices around the area.
Staff is also not helpful when you raise your concerns. When I requested for cancellation, no refund is given. It looks like other stayers also raised such concerns. They again dismiss your concerns and will tell you to “to have manners and behave yourself in other countries.” Everything about this hotel is money and no service recovery. They have also been making the same mistakes raised from the past. Highly discouraged to book this hotel, so book at...
