LaCumbre Rooftop — Restaurant in Adeje

This could be great, but it was let down by the service on the day. We arrived at 8 and asked the reception staff if we were allowed to go up not being residents of the hotel. Very politely he told us we were of course welcome and directed us where to go. So far so good...

Up on the rooftop, the views are outstanding and the area is done out very nicely. The menu is on a QR code and after a quick scan we knew what we wanted. There were a few other tables in but it wasn't busy by any means, however we waited for 15 minutes for a waiter to come over to us. He apologised for the wait and took our order. Thinking he had now recognised we had waited a touch longer than normal, we thought the drinks would be with us shortly... We were wrong. We waited another 15 minutes, no drinks, and the sun now having set which is why we went up there, we left! Half an hour and no drinks, I would hate to see how slow it is when it's full! I wouldn't cross it off totally, maybe it was just a bad day, but it was a shame as the view...

Good view, chill music, good food, only the service needs work. Usually unfriendly, sometimes just strange…

An example: As we knew after 2 days the table service is (very) slow we friendly asked at the bar for a beer. To answer was: NO, at the table in a demeaning manner.

Waited then for 15-20 minutes to receive a good beer but again in a demeaning way.

For the rest we have a nice memory...

The 2 stars are only for the great view. It took 50 minutes from we arrived until we got our drinks! It is completely unacceptable, as we only order some drinks - no food. The drinks were okay, but there is much better and cheaper drinks in Costa Adeje - for example...
