Having recently returned home from another visit to This fantastic family run restaurant, I wanted to write a few lines about our experience. My wife and I and our larger family have had nothing but positive experiences in Casa Tia. Friendly staff, who treat you with respect and courtesy, and food that is just nothing short of brilliant. This years menu has croquettes roulette! Different flavour each visit, so do yourself a favour and ask about those. Our "last night of the holiday" visit had lasagne filled croquettes which were unbelievably good. I was impressed with the versatile range on offer, and particularly pleased with the veggie options. Though I myself am not a fussy eater, there are members of my family who have more streamlined appetites, so finding something for everyone is often a chore. Pleased to say that Casa Tia more than covers our bases, and all go home with satisfied bellies and content smiles on our faces. The location of the restaurant is also great to watch the to and fro of nightly life in the resort as the sun descends over the nearby cliffs. Perfect to set the tone for a nice date night dinner without the kids, or a dramatic backdrop for fond family memories of a holiday well spent in Menorca. Easily one of my favourite places to visit for food, and IMO, one of the best Pomada's on the island. Don't just take my word for it, go and explore for yourself. Be aware in high season, this is a popular restaurant. Therefore queue's are inevitable, and for late diners, sometimes your favourite dishes may not be available. For me, this was just an opportunity to try something new on the menu that I'd never had before, and I can safely say I loved every bit of it. The family that own and run the restaurant are open to constructive feedback, so long as you remain polite and thoughtful when doing so. I've been many times before, and will be back on many more nights to come. Maybe I'll...
Read moreLovely little Tapas restaurant right at the heart of a resort.
It's a pretty unassuming place with pretty basic decoration but with plenty of space to sit outside. There was a covered area but not sure if you could even sit indoors.
The menu was varied with some English style dishes (think spicy chicken wings) and more traditional Spanish food. There are vegetarian options, meat and fish dishes so something for everybody.
There were 9 of us in our group all together with 2 vegetarians. We ordered 22 plates in total and there was more than enough for all of us.
There's a wide range of drinks including Maho beer on tap, soft drinks and water. They range from about €2 euros up a pint of beer being about €4.50 so pretty reasonable.
In total I think our bill was just over €160 with everyone having had 1 drink. They did offer dessert but we didn't look at the menu, we...
Read moreNot bad food and friendly staff, however it’s under new ownership apparently and that really shows. Couldn’t get more customers in quick enough, we got sat down at 7 then had to wait an hour to be asked what we wanted to eat. Meanwhile other customers came in, ordered, ate, payed then left before we had even placed our order.
Staff couldn’t say sorry enough but maybe they should do something about the wait times like prioritising the order customers enter.
Only one person taking orders for a full venue, one staff member seemed to really enjoy emptying tables for the next load of unfortunate people waiting outside to come in. Hopefully they had a better time than us!
Used to really like this place, however with our last experience unfortunately we won’t be coming back, not at any point did anyone come to ask if everything was ok...
