Isabella's Bar & Restaurant Calan Porter — Restaurant in Alaior

After a wonderful week in Menorca I thought it only fair that I write this review for what quickly became the kids (one of which has additional needs and are very selective with food) favourite restaurant in Cala En Porter. From the outset Isabella's seemed very unimposing from the outside, but after we read the menu we decided to give it a go.... and oh my goodness I am glad we did.... Firstly THE FOOD IS AMAZING!! really fresh, full of flavour and beautifully presented... The portion sizes are fantastic for those wanting a hearty meal after a day swimming or exploring, secondly The Owners and Staff can't do enough to help... The kids absolutely loved Isabellas and from the first meal we had there to the last we were made to feel welcome and comfortable. Unfortuantely after booking our second evening there was a little accident involving a storm shutter and one of the kids head's so in the evening some of our party stayed home to look after the little one while i took the others to Isabella's for dinner which we had booked earlier that day... after being asked where the others I explained the situation and decided to try my luck and asked if possible if they could do a small tub of their Ham and Melon starter from their set menu to take home as it was the little ones favourite.... They didn't hesitate and had it ready for us for when we left. each night the food was fantastic and I personally feel really bad because I cannot remember the names (Nicola and Essy i think but apologise if i am wrong) of the owners but they are amazing, The Restaurant itself is beautiful, clean and very well laid out.... The prices are great for the quality of the food.... and i recommend anyone visiting Menorca let alone Cala En Porter to visit Isabellas and to try their set menu because its amazing value for money especially if you're with a family or large group.

We are booked to return to Cala En Porter next year and we have all said we will be returning...

First, it took a long time for us to be seated. We were called just as we were about to leave. After being seated, it took another long while for anyone to come get our orders. The restaurant didn't even have that many people inside. The restaurant has a menu (for 1 person). I wanted it for myself, and wanted to order something else for my gf, because we didn't want to eat a lot. I ordered just 1 menu, and the waiter AGRESSIVELY REMOVED THE PLATE + CUTLERY from my gf, mocking the fact that we wanted just 1 menu. He didn't even let me finish my order, as I wanted to order more stuff (they have other things besides the menu). This was the most disrespected I ever was, anywhere, anytime. Of course I stood up and left. DO NOT GO TO THIS REASTAURANT. There are plenty other, BETTER options...

A most delightful surprise. We walked past this place earlier in the day, looked at the menu and thought we'd give it a try. Went back later without a reservation and were lucky, a couple were just leaving. The set menu was really good value with a range of choices to suit everyone. When the food arrived it was delicious and well presented. The service was excellent, the atmosphere just right, the owners took time to speak to you. My recommendation would be, definitely try out this place and perhaps best to book to make sure you're not...
