Far too expensive, and poorly cooked food! Me and my wife both had T-bone steak, this came out about 25 minutes after my daughter got her dinner! No thought was given to the child’s meal serving overcooked fish fingers and plane dry boiled potatoes. When it came to our steaks we asked for them medium well, when they came out my wife cut into her’s and it was very rare going on raw, mine was cooked well on one side and raw on the other. My wife sent hers back to be cooked more and when it came back 15 mins later they did not refresh any of the side of the dish so they were cold and hard. The steak was still undercooked so ate very little of it when we asked for the bill we mentioned the steak and then possibly had one of the worst customer experiences of my life, I asked to only pay half for my wife steak as she ate so little but they were adamant we pay full price, so I asked to speak to the manager, the waiter said “he speak no English” came back 10 mins later demanding full payment saying you could have sent the steak back again until it was right, it is only when we started making a scene he broke and knocked 12 euro off the bill. Would...
Read moreTerrible Experience – Avoid This Restaurant!
My husband and I recently visited Ola’s in Alucida, Mallorca. At first, the restaurant looked promising, the man outside who introduced the menu made it sound like a high-quality place, which convinced us to give it a try.
However, once we were inside and ordered, the experience quickly went downhill. The staff were polite, but the food was a disaster. My husband ordered the pasta Bolognese, and I had the chicken dish. His Bolognese was oddly sweet and completely bland and it was served without parmesan, which we had to ask for twice before it arrived. As for my chicken, it was absolutely terrible. It was so oversalted that it was barely edible, with large chunks of salt that made it impossible to chew.
We complained about the food, but the staff did nothing to resolve the situation or offer any kind of apology or compensation.
I strongly advise everyone to stay away from this place. Don’t be fooled by the presentation outside. Ola’s is not worth your time or money. A truly...
Read moreFrom the entertaining tout trying to lure you in, to the serving staff the people were friendly and helpful. On to the food. The garlic bread was fresh, crisp and tasty although I would have preferred it pre-sliced. The main courses were very good, delivered in a timely manner. I had a T Bone steak, cooked just the way I ordered it, a bit too much salt for my liking but succulent and tasty. I couldn't quite eat it all, this TBone was the thickest biggest I have ever had, wow. One last thing, I ordered a Long Island Ice Tea which was not on the drinks menu, they weren't quite sure how to make one but they gave it a go, the second one was perfect! Well, I had to give them a chance to get it right, it's only fair! Value for money: It is a restaurant with restaurant prices, 2 starters, 2 main, 2 LIIT, 2 non alcoholic cocktails just under 100 Euros. and yes I think we'd go back for more, if only to see if Long Island Ice Teas have been added to...
