First greeting in the restaurant despite us booking before and wishing for a good placement outside, was trying to place us in the middle, despite us being alone and there was another family already eating there.
Pointed that out and we got seated with a good view, but seems like they are judging people by how they dress, since its in port and maybe shorts is not socially accepted there i dont know.
The waitresses there are incredebly rude and condecending in how they approach you, like they seem to be tired of questions regarding the food. If you gonna serve something under the italian flag you better be prepared to get questions in how its prepared.
I ordered a Carbonara. Sure the ingredients listed are authentic, but i couldnt taste a thing of the ingredients listed. They say they go after the original recipe, despite them adding parmigiano on top of pecorino, the original calls for pecorino only. The problem is, i could not taste the pecorino nor the ”parmesan”. The chef really need to look for some inspiration in how to mix the pasta aswell and cook the pasta al dente because it was mushy, i know that its fresh but thats way to soft. I had strings of cheese and scrambled egg in my carbonara which means it was mixed over very high heat. The guanciale had a burnt flavour aswell.
My girlfriend had a pasta basil pesto which was recommended. Ingredients listed is parmesan pine nuts and basil. Well, i tell you that if a guy that was allergic to pine nuts or milk eating it, he would be totally fine, because there was none.
I’m not Italian myself but if you gonna call yourself authentic italian in a place like that like the port of alcudia, please respect yourself doing it by serving good food. Its really not hard. But i guess you rely on tourists that wont ever come back again.
Also, you dont look over the shoulder of people eating like you do, nor do you run to them as soon as they stop chewing and ask if they are done, because you seem to wanna get rid of people as soon as possible. I dont like it when ppl working there are patrolling around the table and no one likes that, it feels like a lunch in a prison food hall.
1 good thing came out of the place though which is the calamari, but i can buy that from lidl, i came mainly for the ”italian food”.
(EDIT): You being italian doesnt give you authority to serve the wrong food, i’ve been to rome and learned alot over the place. Take the feedback and learn how to not serve bad food, and how to...
Read moreRestaurante Varadero is an exceptional dining establishment that offers a delightful culinary experience. During my visit, my companion and I had the pleasure of indulging in two scrumptious Pizza Diavola, accompanied by a refreshing passionfruit daquary and a cold Heineken. Our gastronomic adventure at Restaurante Varadero was a memorable one, and it left us with a lasting impression.
First and foremost, the quality of the food was truly outstanding. The pizzas were prepared to perfection, with a thin and crispy crust, topped generously with flavorful tomato sauce, spicy pepperoni, and a generous amount of delectable cheese. The cheese, in particular, was exceptional, providing a creamy and savory lusciousness to each bite. The flavors harmonized beautifully, creating a truly indulgent pizza experience. It is evident that Restaurante Varadero takes pride in using high-quality ingredients and paying attention to every detail in the food preparation.
Moreover, the ambiance of Restaurante Varadero added to the overall dining experience. Our table for two offered a breathtaking view over the enchanting boat harbor. The picturesque setting enhanced our meal, allowing us to enjoy our food while admiring the beautiful surroundings. The restaurant's charming and cozy atmosphere created a pleasant backdrop to our evening, making it a memorable and enjoyable experience.

Read moreAte here recently with the family. Beautiful place with a great view of the boats and a very nice decor too.
The food was great, very good. I think in all honesty, given its location, the value was exceptional.
The staff are absolutely brilliant. Made us feel very welcome, taken care of and at ease, but without being pushy or overbearing. My 9 year old girl knocked over a full glass of drink on the table, causing quite the disturbance, to the point we had to move tables for them to clean up. I felt terrible but at no point did the staff make us or my daughter feel uneasy about it. They seemed genuinely understanding which was enormously appreciated as my daughter can be a bit quiet and uneasy at times and something like that can easily knock her confidence but the staff made her feel at ease which i appreciated.
Fantastic overall and if we return to the area we will certainly return to...
