Stumbled over this restaurant one afternoon after just arriving in Pd Alcudia and looking for some late lunch. Was checking the usual high ranked not too touristy place on Google and TA, but none of them looked particularly inviting at least not at the time. So strolling the streets I came across this restaurant and it seemed to be busier than the rest and you could really only hear Spanish speaking customers. Whether that is a good sign or not but I went with the old mantra: " must be good if Spaniards eat there them-selves". I ordered after looking at the English and Spanish menu and ordered what was listed under "starters". Big mistake! I had this huge portion of mixed Marisco fry up which was great and I do not how they managed to fry all those different sized fish pieces without overcooking some and undercooking others. I also ordered the Pulpo Gallega (served on potatoes) which were the best I have ever eaten 25 years of holidaying in Spain. The negative reviews written seem to be mainly from Spaniards. Maybe they have different standards. However it was great Spanish food and felt somehow local compared to most other eating...
Read morePoor service, ok food. Stayed for lunch with the family. At first, no server came to seat us, after we seated ourselves they came after a while and took our order. Kids food came relatively fast, adults food took a very long time. The last course came at the same time as the bill! When we said we weren't happy with the service of the dishes, the waiter argued that he was waiting for us to finish the earlier tapas dishes (that were not tapas style but rather like main course dishes), but they had already started clearing our table and taken away our plates before the last dish arrived. And being "tapas style" we would have preferred having the dishes more simultaneously. Food was bland and a bit boring, but tasted OK. But watch out in the menus - the translated menus describe the food quite differently than the Spanish version! As an example, a dish with scrambles eggs, mushrooms and ham iberico was described as filet of pork with mushrooms in the translated menu - no mention of scrambled eggs. Quite a disappointment...
Read moreTeniamos reserva.
