SushiTok Alfafar — Restaurant in Alfafar

Honestly, this place is extremely overpriced for what you get. The menu seems to be very varied, but in reality it's pretty much the same thing with different toppings and sauces. Some of which are a bit too "crazy" for my taste. One option is literally Sushi with Inflated rice cereal and some weird sauce on top. In addition, some of the sushi we were served was half frozen.

Furthermore, some of the cutlery used is a bit questionable and I wonder if it passes basic sanitary standards. I ordered ramen and the soup spoon was made out of plastic with what seemed paint coming off of it. For that price, I expect decent non-plastic cutlery.

We did not order any drinks, as we had already been drinking previously and did not feel like it, plus they charge the drink on top. None of the waiters said anything or had an issue with it until the floor manager (there are several floors) came to us demanding that we ordered a drink. The exchange was a bit unpleasant as we had to go to the front desk in the middle of our meal and argue the case that nothing indicated in the menu outside that ordering drinks was a requirement. They finally gave in and "allowed" us not to order a drink.

On a positive note, the waiters were very kind and helpful and the service was fast. The serving robot was fun too.

Honestly, it is not that much different to the sushi you get in your average Asian buffet. It may seems like they have variety but in reality it's the same thing with different sauces and toppings. There is an equally good sushi option across the road for less, and with more food variety. You do have to serve your own food there though unlike here where it is brought to your table.

Will probably not come back unless I hear it has improved. Cannot...

I came to this place, and some of the sushi was definitely delicious. However, an unpleasant experience makes me give this place only 2 stars. It was already a very expensive place. My boyfriend and I did not want to order drinks as we weren’t thirsty. The waitress told us several times we EACH had to pay for a drink besides what we had already ordered. She told us this only when we were almost finished with our food. So they were basically trying to force a drink down our throats, as well as leeching money off us. Le doy 5 estrellas al servicio por Héctor, siempre una persona entregada, agradable y con una sonrisa. Llevamos un año yendo a este sitio, ya hemos empezado mal pidiendo el servicio de hielo para dos. Cuando ha venido con la bebida uno de los camareros y un vaso con hielo le hemos indicado que eran dos a lo que me ha contestado en ese vaso hay dos hielos. Así que me he callado por educación que el no ha tenido y he sacado el hielo con las manos y se lo he puesto en el vaso a mí marido. Vamos siempre allí por su gran variedad de sushi, el sabor y su preparación cuidada. Hoy ha sido de locos, el sushi todo sabía igual, los de gamba tempura solo sabía a frito. Los nigiris de salmón estaban esperando desde hace horas a ser comidos, el salmón finísimo y seco (que no malo) pero harto de estar esperando. Aún así nos lo hemos comido porque te sancionan si no comes algún plato. Hemos decidido pedir comida china porque el sushi nos había defraudado muchísimo. Y ha sido totalmente un horror, el arroz duro, un trozo de pechuga rebozada con un chorro de mayonesa y otro de barbacoa, una ternera teriyaki que no sabía a nada, unas gambas rebozadas que sabían a buñuelos, nada de gamba, y unas gyozas que las de Lidl congeladas le dan mil vueltas. Hemos indicado que no nos íbamos a acabar la comida porque la calidad nos estaba alucinando. Héctor super amable nos ha comprendido y nos ha pedido disculpas. Finalmente hemos hablado con el jefe del restaurante, super amable nos ha comprendido y sin pedirlo nos ha hecho un descuento en el ticket. Simplemente agradecer que se den cuenta cuando las cosas no se hacen bien y tengan un detalle. Imagino que tardaremos en volver, espero a la proxima volver a encontrarme el sushitok que conocimyis hace un año. El de hoy ha sido muy pésimo y como le hemos dicho al jefe vivimos a 50 km y hemos sido capaces de hacernos 100km para comer pero nos lo pensaremos para la próxima vez.
