We rented a "quad" apartment (Number 2014) which turned out to be on the first floor, with one double bedroom and one twin bedroom. The apartment had a very large terrace with a table and three chairs. There are two bathrooms, one with a bath and one with a shower. The living room and the double bedroom have French windows which open onto the terrace whilst the twin room has an opening window. There is a compact, practical kitchen. The apartment is very large and comfortable with a good air conditioning/heating system, practical tiled floor and neutral decor.
The apartment is comfortable but the kitchen is sparsely equipped and you can't expect to turn up and be able to live in it. Equipment ran to an oven with hob, microwave, freezer, fridge & dishwasher with provided tablets. There are no washing facilities, line or drier but there is a nearby laundry room which we didn't explore. Cutlery runs to a small selection of mugs and glasses & a few pans. To give you an idea of how you might need to prepare we ended up buying a kettle, a sharp knife, dishclothes & liquid and coffee making equipment.
There is a television set in the front room with an HDMI connection and terrestrial tuner. There are plenty of European standard plugs throughout the apartment and a safe is provided. Hot water was plentiful.
The apartments are set in an unattractive low rent retail park and have a view of the car park. There is a Carrefour supermarket just over the road where you can buy the necessities mentioned above and a range of other local shops. If you really don't go for Spanish cuisine, McDonalds and KFC are also within walking distance...
Valencia is an easy drive about 15 minutes up the road and has lots to offer. For local beaches however we'd recommend driving to El Saler by heading out East from the hotel down the CV-401 which takes you across the water park. You'll have spectacular views of herons, storks and maybe even the local flamingos and then reach a sandy beach.
The Aparthotel has free parking outside which fills up rapidly and a larger free parking area in the basement. You can take the lift straight up from the basement to the apartments but have to walk back down the stairs.
All in all, a very practical and enjoyable choice for a base near Valencia which lets you take advantage of everything the local area has to offer from a...
Read moreHi, a group of 5 of us girls travelled to Valencia for 2 nights between 12-14 May, the temperature was around 28-30 degrees. we bought the deal via last minute.com and paid £196 each. We arrived early at Valencia airport and took the taxi which took about 20 mins and cost 30 euros (although on the way back it cost 20 euros!), so between us it worked out quite cheap. Please note taxis will only take 4 passengers no more, we had to take 2 taxis everywhere. We arrived at the hotel and checked in, the receptionist tried to pull a fast one and said only 3 of us had booked, anyway after a while we booked into a spacious 2 bedroom room, which was fantastic, it had 2 bathrooms, lounge, kitchen and massive patio area. We were all very overwhelmed with the size of it. As other reviewers have said the utensils are limited and please buy your own washing up liquid. We walked over to Carrefour supermarket (a bit like Costco) and bought lots of alcohol and food, there were lots of bargain reductions. There is McDonalds, burger king and KFC around the corner and other places to eat, its more like a retail park. Anyway, we then took a taxi into Valencia town (10 euros) and spent the afternoon drinking cocktails in the many bars, it was lovely. We then went to the beachfront and went clubbing in the Marina Beach Club, this was amazing, highly recommended (free entrance), great music and drinks (which cost around 8-10 euros each).||The next day we spent the whole day at the beach, (10 minute drive, 10-15 euros) it was another great experience, you have to pay for the sun loungers 4.50 euros and the umbrella 5 euros. Sea was lovely and beach was sandy, highly recommended. Lots of sports going on around the beach. at the end of the day we ended up in the Marina Beach club again and stayed till 5am! Big issue in Valencia is there is hardly any taxis after 1am! we waited for over an hour with 100s of others trying to get one.||All in all a really lovely holiday, would definitely return and recommend to my friends.||Note the food in restaurants alongside the beach front are quite expensive (25-30 euros per person exc drinks). The hotel was perfect! and free wifi worked well too everywhere in the hotel. Note: no kettle, no...
Read moreOverall happy.||The hotel itself per the name is a apartment style hotel with a kitchen and separate living room area. The room itself was very spacious for two. Loads of room and storage. Separate TV area for the living room was nice. Bathroom was also spacious with a full tub and shower/sink area. The room was furnished basically but felt clean and well styled.||Amenities are various, there is a outdoor pool area. It is small and was taken up with lots of kids but we went there briefly on our first day owing to limited time. There is a laundry area and small gym also which is useful although we did not use.||Unfortunately breakfast was not being offered due to covid but there is a vending machine for basics.||We mainly stayed here due to the free parking, this is as others mentioned not secure but you are able to park outside the hotel in a shopping complex the hotel is based in. It felt reasonably secure but naturally you do leave the car at your own risk.||In terms of the general location you are based in what I would describe as a industrial zone but was surprisingly busy. I would suggest you need a car because the nearest metro is over a 20 minute walk. Pro tip we noted from other reviews you can drive to Valencia Sud which has a free car park and hop on the metro for 10 mins to get into town to save parking and driving around the centre.||There is actually a fair amount around the hotel, there is a lidl supermarket a few mins walk, kfc and a few fast food chains close by.||Staff were also very friendly and helpful and despite limited English made a effort to always offer help where they could.||Only knock I would have is they have a rather odd maid service, the room is only serviced every three days. They do change the bins if you leave them out and you can request new towels but just seemed a little cheap.||What I would say is for the price we paid (£50) we were pleased and it does offer excellent value but would recommend you have a car or you will be...
