Anva Beach Bar — Restaurant in Alicante

(I wrote this review the same day as our visit). Ok for drinks, skip the food. It’s now called Anva Gastrobar. We had a definite Instagram vs reality moment. The place was quite empty, waiter was young, but nice, and not familiar with the menu at all. We ordered the chicken nuggets and were served croquettes. When we asked about it, he assured us it was chicken nuggets, lol. We left it at that. The patatas bravas, which is a pretty standard Spanish dish, were clearly frozen/flash fried potatoes with some spicy ketchup on the side. Extremely lazy food, teenagers might enjoy it but if you’re expecting good food and for the prices they charge, just go somewhere else. The only thing we enjoyed here was a burrata salad, which is hard to mess up as we were given olive oil and balsamic vinegar sides to dress ourselves. Mediocre food, the view was...

Arrived here 10minutes before the kitchen was open so ordered a drink. There was only one other table in the restaurant of one man yet they staff were extremely slow and forgetting our orders. They were hanging around the bar as if they had nothing to do which was disappointing as after appetisers we were planning to order more food. My friend went to take money out of the ATM & I was waiting 20mins to order the food and nobody came as well as not bringing the drinks that had been already ordered. An amazing little place just by the beach, perfect for both drinks and food. It has a comfortable interior, nice music, and a good selection of smaller bites.

Even though some items were a bit overpriced and the mojito wasn’t the best, this place deserves all stars due to the amazing service. The waiter was super nice, attentive, and even offered a complimentary dessert and shot ⭐️

Highly recommended if you’re in the area. They also offer brunch (which we were too late for) that looked top-notch. Will without a doubt come back if I get the chance 😊
