We travel through Spain very often and had no great expectations when we arrived in Alicante. However, what we experienced in this restaurant was simply unique.
From the moment we walked in, we were warmly welcomed. The chef, an incredibly relaxed and friendly person, greeted us with a warm smile. This friendliness extended to the entire staff – we immediately felt at home.
The food was an absolute dream and almost impossible to describe in words. Every bite was a revelation, making our taste buds dance. The Sangria, in particular, stood out – the best we’ve ever had, homemade and perfectly crafted.
We were so impressed that we dined at the same restaurant for four days in a row – something we had never done before. Each day was indescribable and continuously exceeded our high expectations.
Eva, the waitress, is amazing and made our experience even more special with her incredible service.
Without exaggeration, this is the best restaurant we have ever eaten at. We are certain that we will travel back to Alicante just for this culinary experience. An absolute must for anyone who appreciates excellent food and a warm atmosphere.
A special detail is that the chef always stands behind the bar himself and prepares the drinks, giving each visit a personal touch.
A big thank you to the chef, Eva, and the entire staff for this...
Read moreA restaurant mostly for foreigners, rarely attended by locals, and for a reason. My experience was very bad, mostly because of the poor service. When I made the booking, they offered me one of the two turns they have. I told them I was not interested in their times, and they insisted that I made a booking, for 09:30pm, saying there was no problem. When I arrived to the restaurant, I sat down. We are started dinner and, when moving the chair, all are old chairs, I got pierced by an old nail in the chair. I told about it to the waiter and he didn’t seem interested at all and said the owner was too busy. I asked for the manager and he said he was the manager and was sorry, but he didn’t even asked where the nail was. Not only that but at 22:30, a waitress came to our table to say that there was a group waiting for us and that we needed to leave. I told her about my booking and she didn’t care, and just offered a shot as a compensation. The food was just ok, and well overpriced, but the service was so bad that my recommendation is to stay away from this restaurant, where they don’t care if a nail pierced you. Avoid...
Read moreWe stumbled into this cute gastro bar during Holy Week in Alicante. The streets are packed with parades and spectators and the restaurants are overwhelmed. I say this because it's probably unfair to review a restaurant at this time and so i will be kind.
The place is attractive and eclectic with mostly locals and their families. A big bar was packed.
The food was truly delicious and really worth the visit. But the service was strange and almost comically bad.
I will say that we received about 80 percent of what we ordered but the final bill contained 105 percent.
Never was the service less than cheerful just simply overwhelmed.
On the plus side, everything we actually were able to try was great. The kitchen has a way of turning out perfectly tender pork, slow cooked wings and delicately fragranced prawns. The meal took forever, requests for water, bread, wine and more were acknowledged but usually ignored.
After all my complaining here, I'd still go back. For the food and to see if the bumbling service is consistent or just a semana...
