My visit was quite disappointing.
Although the display of croissants and sandwiches looked very inviting, the overall experience was chaotic and frustrating. After a long queue I ordered 2 savoury croissants (serrano ham and cheese), one sweet croissant, 2 cortado coffees and a chicken sandwich.
Order mistake: they brought only one savoury croissant (and the wrong one, with cooked ham and cheese), the sweet one, and the two coffees.
After pointing this out, I received the correct croissant and the sandwich, but the second savoury croissant was still missing. Only after waiting longer was I told that I had paid for just one (no receipt was given at purchase).
By then, the coffees were already cold.
Product quality: -The sweet croissant was dry and tasted stale. -The chicken sandwich was served still frozen inside; after returning it, it came back almost the same, still cold.
Service: Very disorganized and confusing. Staff run around without really paying attention to customers. If something goes wrong, there is no way to report it from the table: you have to queue again at the counter, where the same lack of organization continues. Conclusion: A place with potential, but with poor product quality, weak organization and service that needs serious improvement. Prices are reasonable, but the experience does not justify the time...
Read moreI am really disappointed. The place is actually great - the location, the diversity of food and warm lighting, quite cozy. However the working staff is the weak point.
When I was waiting at the till, the lady kept talking to another lady as if I weren’t standing there to be attended The lady (dark skin, looks a bit Indian) was so unfriendly to me. She wasn’t rude either, but she was kind of not happy that I’m making an order. When I named a position from a menu she made a face and was so surprised, so she even didn’t try to hide that she is not aware about this position. That was so unprofessional When I ordered a baklava she even didn’t ask me which flavor I want - chocolate or pistachio. When they served me my waffle with salmon and avocado it looked so sad. The tiny plate as if I were a doll not a human. The avocado were partly black. The cream cheese wasn’t cream at all but some weird substance instead.
I was really sad because the place is good. All it needs is the current stuff being replaced or well trained. Hope the management see this...
Read moreCoffee was delicious, however there were a few things that could be improved. My boyfriend ordered everything in Spanish because the staff seemed overwhelmed with the wave of customers. Our ordering being: 2 pieces of baklava, 2 ham and cheese croissants and 2 lattes. The croissants first arrived cold, which my boyfriend kindly asked to be warmed up, the hostess humbly obliged and instructed the other lady to warm the croissants. The rest of the order followed. The coffee was excellent, the baklava was stale (would not get again) and the croissants were cold in the middle after being asked to warm up. Overall, lovely for coffee but not for baked goods. Please go to the Alicante Food Market instead for...
