I really hate these kind of places where they invest so much on the surface, such as decoration, and so, but then they just overlook the small details. What's the point to try so hard to look charm, cozy, maybe even luxurious if you don't keep it in every single detail. That's what I could to be coherent, and this places isn't or at least is not what I felt yesterday.

Is just Alicante is really good at this, from the outside, you see so many elegant places but as you scratch the surface, u just find that all was nothing but make up.

Yesterday we went to this place, and we went just because location was just great, very nice decoration, and seemed the perfect place to spent an afternoon. We were wrong. I don't know if the waitres was angry with the boss or with the world but every time she opened her mouth (not just with us but with rest of customers) seemed as she wanted to piss on her boss' biz by kicking the customers out. From the very first minute, every sentence sounded as a "you are not welcome" or "you are bothering me". So that's why I wrote my title "Rude".

But also the bathroom, oh, really filthy. Materials were nice again and kind of modern, no doubt about it, but seems as nobody care about the cleaning or maybe someone just pissed all around and they decided to keep it that way.

If they don't keep all the premises clean, my guess is that hidden corners such as kitchens aren't going to be much better....

Really sad. Boss needs to be more on the store taking care of his biz. Is not enough hiring a nice architect and just open it. U must ensure the excellence is well preserved, today and tomorrow. Feeling yesterday was that the boss is at the Bahamas while staff are really trying to destroy his investment. Really sad. Because location, and decoration could have been a nice time yesterday but it turned to be a very unpleasant one.

If u pass around, u better check for another options, otherwise ensure well first if the waitress is or not on the mood that day. If you get a warm welcome (or maybe just a welcome) then you can try to give her a chance. If no welcome / not smile, u better leave, because she is not going to be any better as you keep inside.

We first visited a couple years ago and have wanted to come back for a while. Unfortunately this time we received poor service from a rude waitress.

I ordered one waffle, a latte, then asked her to make it two waffles instead and she said I had asked for a crepe. I politely clarified we wanted two waffles and she rolled her eyes at me and told me again I had ordered a crepe. Mind you, she was still taking our order, she had not gone back to the kitchen to put it in or anything. When we finished putting our order in she sarcastically said thank you loudly and walked away.

In the end only one waffle and our drinks came out because she couldn't be bothered to give us what we asked for. Cannot recommend this place anymore, sadly. There's loads of other places with nice desserts and kinder staff. It's not nice to go on holiday and receive hostile hospitality from impolite wait staff.

I will say that this is beautifully decorated and the atmosphere in and out is great. My wife and I came in here to grab a quick gelato. When we walked near the counter to select something, one of the servers came to greet us. As we were deciding on what to choose, she walked over to the other side of the counter - nothing said, just left (?). It wasn't that busy when we came in - we were the only ones at the gelato area. She came back a few minutes later - I definitely knew what I wanted by that point hahaha. I always get Pistachio to compare it to the others I have had in the area or another location. It was very good, but not my favorite. I will say that this is a very good place to have a seat and cool...
