The restaurant is very appealing, that's why we chose it. The menu also seemed appealing, fusion food that we usually like. Two of us ordered a meat burger and they said it was good enough. The other two of us ordered a salmon burger and baos, both were mediocre, especially the salmon burger. However, nothing we complained about as the food was not bad, simply it was not good in our opinion, but taste is subjective. What is not subjective is that the waiter offered to bring some bread with alioli and tomate and we gladly accepted without even worrying about the price. We live in Barcelona and it is the most expensive city in Spain, we never paid more than 5 euros for that, it's the most basic side you offer in a Spanish restaurant. But we were charged 9 euros for the bread and 6 euros for the two sauces (mini!). I objected to the waiter that this is not normal and he rudely replied that that's what you pay for bread in Alicante. That is not true and that is the treatment they reserve to tourists as they did not realise that we are not from abroad. And even if we were, that's not fair. It is a shame and I told them they should be ashamed. We paid and left and we will never be back and hope this review will help any poor tourists to chose one of the hundreds of other restaurants that don't try to take advantage of people on vacation. Funny enough, a burger was cheaper than pan (supermarket little breads) con tomate. Where in the world have you seen that? Very very very...
Read moreOld building with lovely decor, very cozy clean and stylish. I really enjoy the design. The menu is just about the perfect "size", not too many dishes but all interesting and with good variety. Recommended from some friends and this restaurant exceeded our expectations . Service was perfect, food was delicious. We had goat cheese coca - a special local bread topped with caramelized onion, apple and grilled goat cheese - super tasty, Thai chicken with rice and a spinach salad with fried cheese..To die for! Shame we didn't add the mustard ice cream, it was the combination with gelato that didn't convince me above all but if I will have the chance to order it again I would definitely add it to my salad! For dessert their version of turrija. Very nice, maybe slightly too sweet but maybe it was me, I was looking for something very traditional but this one was more likely similar to a french toast. Very good indeed but not what I was craving for at the minute. So I would say "was my fault" :) the dessert itself was perfect the way it was. So highly recommended! Thank you...
Read moreThis restaurant is a work of passion for the owner, which we were lucky to meet and speak with on two of the three occasions we ate there The menu of the day (or week) was well priced and delicious, as were the rest of the items offered. Beautiful presentation, excellent fusion of flavours and just good food. For those that may find the portions small, they aren’t, they are European portions which is the norm in good restaurants over there and frankly should be so everywhere. Atmosphere a 15 out of a 10. Justina our server on two occasions was a delightfully person to meet and speak with during our visits. There will always be someone with a negative comment but this just isn’t the case here. Seek out this place and feel like you are eating in a very exclusive restaurant for a selected crowd but isn’t. It’s there for all of us to thoroughly enjoy....
