What a great first evening at Alicante thanks to Las Brasas de San Miguel and Sergio! A little bit tired after flight, decided to google where to go for a dinner. Las Brasas de San Miguel had great reviews so it was easy decision. Even though all outside tables seemed reserved, Sergio welcomed and seated us at the terrace. We noticed that the guests were tourists but also the local people which is always great recommendation for every restaurant. As a wine lover, I've started a dinner with Protos Roble 2022 and my friend choose tap beer. For meal we took lamb chops and entrecote. Served with homemade fried potatoes, meat was absolutely delicious. In our country we would say: "Meki k'o duša" or "Soft as a soul". After dinner I asked for another glass of wine, so Sergio suggested Lomas del Marques Crianza 2021 which was also very nice, smooth but with character. I wanted to know which wine Sergio likes the most, so he introduced (and treated) me Enrique Mendoza - Monastrell (specific for Alicante region) + Cabernet Sauvignon as a great wine to finish the evening. During our sitting all staff was very kind and asked if everything is ok or how we like the food. Food, service and atmosphere were so nice and we really enjoyed our first evening at Alicante. Thank you dear people for...
Read moreServer was mad at everybody (mby he had a bad day but come on...) , didn't know any english, didn't want to explain even what "beef sauce" or just any of the sauces tasted like so I just had to guess haha. He was not really rude to us just cold but rude to people around us.
We got 3 dishes + bread. The bread was dry and they didnt even bother to give us the olive oil in a bowl or just something like I saw at other tables (it was 50/50). Then we got one dish each. One was tasty fish but nothing amazing, the second one was nothing but boiled fish and some boiled paprika, the third was still alive cow not even dark on the outside so I asked them to cook it again which obviously the server didn't like. Then after a while I got the same steak well well done and very very dry.
3 dishes... one just okay, second tasteless, third worst steak I have eaten. Rude server and just typical touristy atmosphere. How it has 4.5 is a big question that I can't answer. We were not at all the only one who felt this way because we saw people around us not finishing their food and just not bother to complain.
Just go to a fast food place instead. Too much money spent on arrogant server (with nothing to be arrogant off)...
Read moreLas Brasas Steakhouse is a carnivore's paradise where the quality of meat is nothing short of fantastic. The standout feature for me was the unique option to barbecue the meat right at your table. This not only added an interactive flair to our dining experience but also ensured that each bite was cooked exactly to our liking.
The selection of wines at Las Brasas is commendable. Each wine seemed carefully chosen to complement the flavors of the meats, enhancing the overall dining experience. Whether you prefer a bold red or a light white, you'll find the perfect pairing here.
Moreover, the professional service at Las Brasas is worth mentioning. The staff were knowledgeable, attentive, and incredibly efficient, contributing significantly to the pleasant atmosphere of the restaurant. Their expertise in both the menu and wine selection was invaluable in making our evening memorable.
In conclusion, Las Brasas Steakhouse is a must-visit for anyone seeking a top-tier steakhouse experience. The combination of high-quality meats, the fun of cooking it to your taste, a superb wine selection, and professional service makes it deserving of a five-star rating. I highly recommend it for an exceptional...
