Restaurante Indio Taj-Mahal — Restaurant in Alicante

I am a resident of Alicante. The menu was ok, an over simplified offering of 'Indian food', food was ok, a bland pastiche of what other better 'Indian Restaurants' in Alicante offer. I get insulted when I am treated like a 'Giri' ( stupid tourist). Some of the food was ok, but nothing like the better ' Indian Restaurants' offer here in Alicante. The biggest insult was when today on Christmas day 2024 a group of 10 people from different global locations around the world were treated like dumb tourists. They tried to charge double to several members the group. I do not recommend this place. There are many many better 'Indian restaurants'...

My girlfriend and I just moved to Alicante from Miami and every day that we walk by, we smell the amazing aroma from outside. Tonight, we finally went to try it and it exceeded our expectations! We went to this restaurant after reading reviews and then looked on the fork app and got a 30% discount booking a table through the app. We definitely weren't disappointed as the food was absolutely fantastic, and although we were the first in the restaurant, by the time we were halfway through our meal, it was packed.
