Wow wow wow. What a place and such an amazing experience. It is a French place that focuses on not to many things but does everything perfectly. They have cheeses, pates, fondue, and some more things. Everything tasted amazing. The staff is very knowledgeable, explains everything and give advice on what to get. They are so lovely and nice as well. You get to choose of you like stronger or bilder cheeses and how many, they choose some based on that and some home made marmelades to pair them with.
The star of the show was the lavendel marmalade, it was amazing. We even bought a jar home with us. They sell 40 different jams that you can buy with you home, also pates, oils and cheeses if you wish to. Very nice experience and hidden gem in central Alicante. It doesn't look like much on the outside but it is a fantastic experience for someone that loves that kind of food. Keep in mind that it is a very small place with high tables and chairs, very charming but not the most comfortable for a long sitting, however it fits in with the vibe. I could not recommend it enough, a must...
Read moreLa Cave A Fromage is definitely worth a visit for any cheese connoisseur, or lover, going to Alicante. The restaurant is small, but with a warming atmosphere and a very nice setting: most tables are reserved in the evening. However, 8 spots are open to passersby. The staff is very friendly and welcoming, and the owner (Jean Christophe) of the restaurant is giving you an experience that is not soon forgotten, paying attention to your tastes and needs. A thorough introduction is given to your order. Despite the rush hour at 2030 they manage to still give you an amazing experience. It is recommended to be there at around 19-1930 to get an open table if not reserved in advance. The shop is closed on Sundays...
Read moreUn lugar especial.
