The staff explained this as a normal policy in Almeria, yet the lack of warning or transparency raises concerns. Interestingly, they mentioned that ordering wine by the glass, priced the same, exempts you from the extra charge, introducing inconsistency. Overall, this place is pretty good. The tapas are top notch, but you should know you will have to pay extra for most of the ones you will want to try. We had the cous-cous, chicken quesadilla, and pork chimichurri. These tapas were fantastic! We did also try the carrilladas a baja temperatura con reducción and it was okay. Too sweet and needed salt, something to round out the flavor. The best part of that dish was the meat itself; it was tender and cooked really well. The service is so-so, they are running around constantly(literally running) so you really have to work to get their attention.

¡Para no volver! Fuimos a tapear y cuando llegamos las mesas estaban medio vacías. Se llenaron rápido y aunque nosotros pedimos primero, a las mesas en el alrededor les trajeron la comida antes. Casi acabamos la bebida y aún seguimos sin tapas ni la ración que pedimos. Mientras vinieron tres camareros distintos preguntando por lo mismo y resultó que se equivocaron del orden en la cocina. No se disculparon, solo nos informaron. Al final las albóndigas que llegaron estaban crudas por dentro y las croquetas también les faltaba un par de minutos más para freírse bien y coger el color dorado. Pedimos siguiente ronda de tapas y está vez llegó primera la comida y otra vez el show de camareros distintos viendo y preguntando si nos faltaba la bebida. Encima uno de los camareros nos regañó por no haber pedido la nota con él sino con otro camarero. Eso ya nos pareció el auge de arrogancia como si el cliente fuera un adivino como funciona el servcio en ese local. El panipurro de sobrasada no me acabé porque sabía muy raro (como a tierra) y el pollo con champiñones y setas también no estaba del todo bien. Al final nos llevamos tanto disgusto que me parecería injusticia no comentar lo malo que es ese sitio. ¡No recomiendo! ¡No volveré jamás!

This is a popular restaurant that is adjacent to a busy bar. It is a place where the young-trendy locals tend to congregate. Getting a table can prove difficult unless you are willing to wait. However, when you do find a spot you will enjoy good food and drink. The waiting staff are colourful and provide good choices from the menu. We were even lucky to a secret menu item. The beef from the menu was heavenly and of superior quality. The drink selection and cocktails were excellent.
