DUNKIN´ — Restaurant in Armilla

I visited this café located inside the shopping mall to grab a quick coffee. ☕🛍️ They have self-service machines where you can place your order, which is a great idea in theory — but unfortunately, when I placed my order, no receipt or confirmation was printed. 🧾❌

I went to the counter to explain the situation, and while the staff genuinely tried to help, it was difficult to communicate because their English level was very limited. 😕💬 We couldn’t quite understand each other, and in the end, I just said the name of the coffee I wanted and they gave it to me — but not without several minutes of confusion.

That said, the decoration, design, and overall atmosphere of the café were nice. The place was clean, and the coffee itself was tasty. Service quality, apart from the communication barrier, seemed solid. ✨☕🪑

I’m giving this place 4 out of 5, mainly because:

The ordering system didn’t work and caused a delay.

The language barrier made the experience more difficult than it needed to be.

If the tech system is improved and staff are given basic English training, this café could be even better — especially for international...

I am a big fan of Dunkin Donuts and the food and drinks there are great.

What I was really touched by was the staff who are extremely nice. First, I am not Spanish and don’t know much Spanish overall but when I asked the lady at the counter to help me with couple of words in Spanish, she did so with a smile on her face. Also, there was some problem with the ordering machine and I couldn’t choose a Nutella donut, so another lady from the staff again helped me.

At last, when I was having my drink and donut, a kid was crying nearby and the first girl that served me, came to the crying child and its mother and offered a free donut to cheer him up. That was a really nice gesture that I was a witness of, so I couldn’t not mention it and give this place...

He estado hoy con mi sobrina pequeña, la cual es alérgica al huevo (tanto si lo contiene como si hay algún tipo de contaminación) por tanto tenemos que estar muy atentos. He preguntado si el chocolate caliente clásico tenía huevo antes de pedirlo y el chico de la caja, muy amable, ha ido a mirar la carta y me ha dicho que si tenía. Por tanto le dije que no me lo pusiera. Cuando me ponen el café, veo que me ponen el chocolate caliente también y me doy cuenta que nos lo han metido en la cuenta.. le digo al compañero que ha habido un error, que el chocolate al final no lo hemos pedido porque me ha dicho su compañero que contenía huevo. El chico sorprendido me ha preguntado que cómo iba a tener huevo el chocolate que eso no era así en repetidas ocasiones, incluso se ha reído porque le parecería imposible. Entonces me lo he llevado, pero obviamente no estaba convencida.. así que estando en la mesa he buscado la carta de alérgenos en google y efectivamente, contiene trazas de huevo. No ha pasado nada porque no se lo he dado, pero deberían de prestar más atención porque si se lo llega a tomar no es ninguna...
