Da Long Yi Hotpot — Restaurant in Arona

I recently visited Da Long Yi Hot Pot in Tenerife, and it honestly became one of my favourite dining experiences on the island. If you’re looking for something different from the usual tapas or seafood restaurants, this place is a must-try.

As soon as you walk in, you’re greeted by a warm, lively atmosphere filled with the smell of rich broths and spices. The restaurant looks beautiful, with Chinese lanterns, elegant decor, and a cozy vibe that makes you feel welcome right away.

The concept is really fun — you pick your broth (spicy, mild, tomato or even three at once) and then choose from a wide selection of fresh ingredients like meats, seafood, vegetables and noodles to cook right at your table. Everything was super fresh and high quality. The Angus beef was delicious, the prawns and scallops were perfectly cooked, and the vegetables stayed crunchy and full of flavour. The sauce bar is also great — you can mix your own sauce with sesame, garlic, chili oil, soy and more.

One thing that really stood out to me is how inclusive the menu is. They offer vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options, and the staff are very careful with allergies. They explained which ingredients were nut-free and made sure everything was safe and clearly labelled, which made us feel very comfortable.

The staff deserve a special mention. They were incredibly friendly, helpful and patient. It was my first time trying hot pot, and they took the time to explain how it all works, recommended the best broth combinations, and even showed us how long to cook each type of ingredient. They checked on us often and made sure we had everything we needed without ever rushing us. You can really tell they care about the guests and enjoy what they do.

Prices are reasonable for the quality and quantity of food, and the whole experience is worth every euro. It’s not just a meal, it’s something you share and enjoy at your own pace — perfect for a night out with friends, family or even as a couple.

Overall, Da Long Yi Hot Pot is an amazing restaurant that brings authentic Sichuan flavours to Tenerife. The food is fantastic, the service is outstanding, and they truly go the extra mile to make everyone feel comfortable, no matter their dietary preferences. Sitio innovador, decoración y ambientación 10/10. Servicio -0 Mesas incómodas a morir, no tienes sitio ni para agarrar los palillos que deben medir 2 metros cada 1, te llenan la mesa de cosas, que no entran ni las bebidas Comida para llorar y vomitar.

Como novedad? un BOOM Lo que no entiendo que la gente se preste para dar una máxima puntuación a este tipo de sitios, recomendando la "COMIDA",(De hecho, hemos ido por dichas reseñas), pero bueno... respetable.

Es la primera vez que íbamos, no entendíamos el concepto de la comida y pedimos recomendaciones a la camarera. Nos recomienda un menú para 4 personas, de 118e, lo vimos bien y nos decidimos por ese.. La comida cuanto menos apetecible las carnes en cuestión, cerdo, ternera y cordero... (QUE MAS BIEN PARECIAN SACADAS DE UNA IMPRESORA 3D),sabían todo a lo mismo ya que metes todo en una olla con un caldo que solo sabe a grasa. Unas "ABLBONDIGAS" de no se qué que sabían a rayos. Tiene mejor sabor la plastilina que usaba para jugar cuando era niña. Unas famosas gambas hechas puré, que la escupi sin siquiera masticarla de los asqueroso que se sentía en el paladar. Y por último unos calamares que la suela de mis zapatos estan más blandas.. Lo más real que me comí fueron unas setas, que solo sabian al dicho caldo mencionado anteriormente. En fin 154€, salimos con el mismo hambre y con el estómago revuelto. Al final de dicha velada tan mágica e inolvidable, se lo hemos comentado al encargado, para comentar nuestra experiencia y su actitud cual fue? Déspota, altiva y burlona. Can not recommend this place enough. All the staff was so friendly and fun, really great food and we were taken so well care of. The price was also great and we will for sure come back again. We had spring roll for starters which were amazing and had a hot pot with “little spicy (which is very spicy haha)” and “mushroom” than we had a few different things to dip in, all which we would recommend. Just a side note, order less than more as for us eyes were a lot larger than stomach this time, and everything is served very fast so you can always...
