25/03/2025 - We were put on a table for two but we were three people, everything was a really tight squeeze. They offered us prawn crackers but did not tell us there would be a charge which is fine as we are used to that as a lot of Chinese places do that.
Our daughter had the spring rolls and crispy chicken with curry sauce no veg with plain noodles - big mistake the chicken came out that soggy and wet it was chicken that WAS crispy about five hours ago, she couldn’t eat the chicken but did eat the spring rolls with noodles and some Sauce. Crispy chicken she expected it to a bit like the crispy chicken you get in sweet n sour chicken this was vile.
Hubby had the crispy beef with chips no problem there.
I had the chicken kung po - which I ate maybe half the chicken but mostly the peppers and onions and it was ok - meant to be spicy but not at all three chillies beside it on the menu but I’ve had spicier cornflakes - anyway I wasn’t too keen on the chicken it just didn’t seem to be chicken if I’m honest it was like that chicken that’s been injected with water. We were finishing our glasses of wine on the balcony area and I said to my husband and daughter I don’t feel well, not ten mins later I had to go to our hotel was across the street I didn’t know which end it was going to start coming out from!!!!! So I briskly walked as fast as I could. The minute I got in the door of the hotel I vomited the whole thing up. And it’s not easy to vomit food you’ve JUST eaten especially rice mixed with veg and all sorts it was horrible - evening ruined hubby and daughter all dressed up stayed in with me in case I was sick all night. I think what saved me was being so sick so quickly otherwise if I had digested it a few hours I could have been vomiting all night (or for Days) with food poisoning which I’ve had before a few years ago. Thankfully it was just the one 20 min choking session. The staff were lovely friendly but service was like the speed of light we ordered our food and no joke it was on the table within 5 mins. It wasn’t very hot either. They rush you in, rush the food and want the table back asap. It’s a conveyor belt. It’s quantity of customers they want rather than looking after a smaller amount of customers well and using top ingredients they want triple the customers and mid range ingredients. Read moreDisappointing visit. Have previously visited many times, but this was the first for the live cooking experience. Whilst the set menu varies from around €50-€120 per head, the food was lacklustre and insufficient. I would recommend that it's likely best staying with the standard menu for food quality and value.
We chose the meat option, and factually speaking we were served at first tiny tiny portions. The first was a single small chicken stick, the second two tiny tiny strips of poor thin quality pork cubes measuring around 2-3 cm. I very almost walked out, had a gentle word with manager. I wasn't prepared to spend a fortune and be left hungry still needing dinner. They increased the portions thereafter slightly, but the quality wasn't there. I eat far better quality food at home, this was really not good at all, especially the first tiny portion of chicken and pork. This was a very bad example of a live cooking station experience. Tiny plates of food being spread thinly between 8 persons, literally tiny, and a complete lack of respect for the fact people were paying not insignificant amounts.
This wasn't the greatest experience, and I cannot recommend their cooking station. The €120 option we saw lobster etc which looked better, but the value and quality just wasn't there. It would unfortunately look like venture group has cut down on portions and quality, and increased prices. This is something we have noticed across their group.
Reluctantly, not a good review, spent a small fortune to be left hungry and unsatisfied. Granted they tried to improve and rectify the issue, but it was too late, I don't go out to handed tiny scraps of rubbish quality food and need to complain. That destroys the evening, and creates bad feeling, having to stop abuse!
Thai-Pan, you need to improve both quality and portions. We will not be returning the way we feel unfortunately, as I like to feel satisfied that the value and quality is worth €150-200. You cannot just serve tiny scraps of lacklustre food and still...

By the end of the evening, it was clear that Ali & Mark wasn’t just doing a job — he was truly passionate about ensuring that every guest had an unforgettable experience.
