Restaurante Habibi — Restaurant in Arona

I don’t normally review restaurants but I had to review this one as I felt very let down. Due to the high score and great reviews left by others, we decided to try the restaurant out. We were very disappointed by the staff who kept trying to slyly rush us; turns out, the table we were given was booked by someone else and we had to leave in an hour. They didn’t tell us that, and instead kept rushing us, making us feel very uncomfortable until they finally told us it’s booked for someone else. This was very unprofessional in my opinion. They also sat us in the smoking area without consulting with us whether we’re ok with it. We’re not smokers and didn’t appreciate cigarette smoke coming from the table behind us whilst we ate. The previous reviews and the staff said there’s a very wide choice of vegetarian food, however I found that it really wasn’t enough. I’ve been to a few Lebanese restaurants before and they had much more choice than Habibi. Also, all the veggie main dish options were really not that interesting or varied; they were all pretty much the same just with a different sauce. The pricing of main dishes seemed OK (for a main vegetarian dish, it was around €8-€9) but the side dishes like hummus were all €7-€9, so almost the same price as a main dish! That just seems odd and overpriced. €2 for one pita bread didn’t seem fair either. Lastly, the food wasn’t that bad; my vegetables were cooked very well, although the rice tasted plasticky. Guacamole was recommended by staff but we didn’t think it was that great at all. All in all, we spent €40+ and left unsatisfied with staff, service, atmosphere and food choices....

My favourite middle eastern restaurant in Tenerife, fantastic menu with incredible dishes that make it hard to choose. You can't beat the mixed mezze which delivers a range of authentic eastern flavours. A small business worth supporting for sure, and I rave about this place and have yet to disappoint any friends.

When the summer heat is getting intense in Tenerife, the light middle eastern food will certainly be a crowd pleaser without you feeling too full afterwards too. Portions are good value for money and the presentation is very strong too.

The 'Pan Bagdadi' - a feta lightly baked, on a fresh flatbread with spices is a must try (honestly so rich and tasty you'll be wanting another) and of course the Mezze 'Plato Habibi' a huge array of sauces from hummus, other dips, falafel and other mouth watering appetizers.

For Main dishes, these are great, 'Babilonia', 'Tapsi', (these are great vegetarian too) recently we tried the 'Al Furat' which was a mind blowingly good peanut sauce dish with juicy tender pieces of chicken breast on a skewer, with aromatic rice almonds and raisins.

Attentive staff when I have been, incredibly tasty food with lovely food aromas that are hard to forget. Location also offers ocean views which just adds to the experience, the window seating is lovely.

I try to go atleast once a year though I don't live in Tenerife anymore, and ideally would love to go more often!

One of the best places to eat in Los Cristianos and frankly beach facing there isn't much like it in the south...

The bread served with the falafel and hummus was so delightful that we couldn’t resist ordering extra portions. Carmin’s attentive service and accommodating nature were truly remarkable. Despite our time constraints, she ensured that our needs were met promptly, never compromising on the quality of service.

Carmin’s dedication and attention to detail were evident throughout our meal. Her friendly demeanor and efficient handling of our requests made us feel genuinely welcomed and valued as guests. Her quick and seamless service allowed us to savor the delightful food while enjoying the breathtaking views.

In summary, Habibi’s delectable cuisine, combined with its beachside charm, made for an exceptional dining experience.
