OVERPRICED AND NOT FINE DINING. Having seen the reviews, we thought we would definitely try Ricon de Andres. First impression, the outside is pretty but greeted by a miserable male waiter (scruffy hair) and quite dismissive. But, thought that the food must be amazing. Anyhow, we sat down and given menus in plastic covers (other diners given menus in nice wooden one), the two items we choose they needed 24 hours’ notice (no mention of this on the menu). Waiter stood over us whilst we choose 2nd choice. Anyhow, we choose, beef carpaccio, pear carpaccio, langoustines and a chicken dish with sauteed vegetables. We were also given tasty warm bread which was probably the best thing overall as I now explain why. Beef carpaccio was chewy in places which it shouldn’t be. I mentioned this to the waiter, his response was a shrug of his shoulder and walked off. No response, no apology, no “let me talk with the chef” etc. Next, the Pear dish – it was nice. Nothing special. We had to ask then for clean cutlery for the next two dishes. The waiter spent more time laughing and chatting with his Spanish customers, literally ignoring us. Not once did he come and ask how our food was going, no smiles, not once did he make us feel welcome. The Langoustines were tasty but cold. The chicken was literally a cooked sliced chicken breast. We ordered a side of vegetables which was a tiny dish with heavily oiled onions, a few bits of carrot and some red pepper. My partner used the toilets and walked past the Chef he looked scruffy, had a body odour allure and to top off the overall night, we found a hair in the one of the dishes. We really wanted to chat with the waiter and explain our experience but he was just so miserable with us and really couldn’t give any care whatsoever – maybe he is anti-English or other. I hate saying this but our overall experience left us feeling super angry and upset and was not the experience we expected. So, disappointing. I would not recommend this place in any...

I’m not the kind of person who leaves bad reviews — I understand how the hospitality business works and normally only come around here to leave positive feedback. But this experience at El Rincón de Andrés really missed the mark.
We were really looking forward to trying El Rincón de Andrés — so much so that we even waited an extra hour for it to open. Unfortunately, it was downhill from there.
Right away, the waiter informed us that two of the dishes was unavailable. Then, when it came time to order, we were told the main dish we had come for wasn’t available either — and neither were any of the salads, as they had run out of lettuce.
We ended up ordering a main each, two sides, and a tomato carpaccio salad, along with two bottles of water. The food was… fine. The meat was okay. But the bill? A jaw-dropping €115 for two people. They charged €7 per bottle of water — Ibiza beach club prices, minus the beach or the club.
To make matters worse, the service declined throughout the evening. No smiles, no thank you when we left.
Overall, the experience felt overpriced, underwhelming, and not at all welcoming. Would not recommend. Not worth the...
Read moreIt was a friend's birthday and Sunday, and this was one of the few less touristy, open restaurants we could find. And really glad we did as we had a great time! We sat outside, as it's on a quiet street. I was ultra happy to find they have gluten free bread, and a lovely selection of dips for it. Great wines as one can expect, we chose Rioja and Sangria. The starters were all tasty, and surprisingly big - some bigger than the mains even. Great salads, stew and cheesy mushrooms with complex flavours - it was a good start. The mains sounded simple, but were cooked well and delicious, and it all felt fresh. I thought what made the restaurant Michelin-star deserving, was the service - kind, attentive and helpful, which facilitated our good time. Big thanks to everyone...
