We bumped into the owner, Arora (sorry if I have mispelt your name) at a local butchers. She helped us with our order, translating from English to Spanish, we got talking and we learnt she owned and ran this gem of a place.
We visited Neighbours on our last day, one of the big bonuses for us was that the chicken, burgers and sausages are halal and there are many vegeterian and vegan options.
We ordered the protein bowl, chicken burger (in a bagel) and fresh fruit and nutella toast plus a variety of smoothies and the iced latte. My sons are fussy eaters, yet they thoroughly enjoyed their meals. The protein bowl was fresh and tasted great and the meals were beautifully presented.
Finally, I had to try the organic coffee, Arora offered me a local variant Cafe Con Leche, I went for a hybrid version (designed as mount Teide - thanks to Arora's husband) and it was on point! I regret not taking a picture of the owners with us, they were amazing hosts, really friendly and welcoming.

Read moreThis is a sweet, peaceful, little gem of a place! Perfect for brunch or a leisurely coffee, (with free Wifi even!). I had the “Not Your Usual Pancakes” and they were the best blend of savory and sweet made with local eggs from the farm down the road! The fried banana creme was the perfect unique standout layered between the pancakes! The owner/chef, Aurora, was beyond kind (speaking perfect English so it was nice to be able to have a conversation here as a traveler who doesn’t speak Spanish). Her husband, Marcel, was the server and also very welcoming and nice. If you want to support a local family business, who supports sustainability and their local farms through their delicious food in a lovely, calm, setting this is the place! It was exactly what I needed to take a break from the touristy, crazed, energy of the beach. My new favorite spot...
Read moreIf you happen to venture to Los Cristianos and are looking for an alternative to the numerous greasy breakfast offerings, I strongly recommend that you make your way to this fantastic place. Really fresh and vibrant food on offer, Really nice people running it, Great coffee, chilled soundtrack. We had 3 fussy eaters with us and they all had the homemade pancakes which were devoured. All 3 agreed that they were the best pancakes they have ever eaten. The best part was there is no additional sugars and they never noticed. Freshest of juices served to order. Sorry we only found it today before we leave, I would of had breakfast or lunch here everyday, that's how much we enjoyed it. Reasonably priced considering how much care and attention evidently goes into their food. Do your taste buds a favour and go visit them, you...
