Having read the various reviews which varied from 1 star to 5 hubby and I thought we would give it a go. We were the first in and the waitress was very pleasant and chatty. I ordered a Margarita pizza and hubby chose the mixed meat "kebab". As we waited and waited and waited for our meals more people arrived. The waitress seemed to know them and there was lots of talk and hugs and laughter We were still waiting. We noticed a couple of tables who came in after us were served first. After another wait our meals arrived. Meat looked succulent and the pizza looked tasty. Looks can be deceiving. The meat although cooked well was chewy and took some getting through. The topping on my pizza was OK but the base, which was thin, proved very difficult to cut. In fact nigh on impossible. I ended up scraping the topping off and eating that. Read moreWe should have realised when we arrived to a virtually empty restaurant that this place was a bad choice but based on some previous reviews (and hungry) we thought it was worth a try.
BIG MISTAKE!!
Although the initial service was pleasant the food was not and I cannot understand how this place is still open based on what we were served.
Garlic bread with cheese starter tasted odd but both main courses of Shorthorn steak and mixed grill had exactly the same revolting taste like they had been cooked in a rubber bag with a blowtorch!
Everything on both plates was terrible and even after preserving with it we left at least 75% of the food.
There was no concern or recognition when we made our concerns known to the waitress. When we stated we were only prepared to pay for the drinks we had the scene afterwards with the chef/barman/owner was ridiculous and frankly outrageous with abuse and threats of police...
Read moreWe searched trip advisor for a decent steakhouse in Los christinos and this place popped up head N shoulders above the rest.
We were early through the doors on a Friday night, no booking made and luckily they made us some space as the rest of the tables were reserved.
The platter of sausages to start were amazing and very reasonably priced 7.92 euros.
We ordered the garlic bread too.
For main we had the shorthorn steak, and they were cooked to perfection and came with sauces.
All the staff at this lovely family run restaurant were extremely welcoming from the point we walked in till we left.
Fantastic food, great atmosphere, lovely people. Would highly recommend if your looking for a steak fix.
Total cost: 56 euros w/ tip 65 euros
