ThaiSong — Restaurant in Arona

My wife and I visited ThaiSong on Friday evening because my wife loves Thai food & this restaurant was close to the Aguamar hotel where we were staying. First impressions on approach to the restaurant is that the restaurant looks pretty basic and we weren't sure what to expect, but the owner soon put us at ease and made us feel very welcome as she did to everyone. We had a combination shared starter for 2 people, which was plentiful & delicious especially the prawn toast 😋. My wife had a red Thai curry, the owner asked her how spicy she would like it from 1 to 10 my wife said 7 & after eating it she said it was delicious but was a bit too spicy (hot) so next time she would probably go for a 5. I had the chicken in vegetables & garlic sauce which was beautiful 😍 & just the right amount of spice (heat). After we finished we were given a complimentary shot each (nice). Family restaurant located on a quieter street in Los Cristianos. Away from hustle and bustle of parallel Avenida de Londres. We ate there several times during holidays on the island. Every visit was pleasent and delicious! The menu is pretty concise yet comprehensive and very reasonably priced. Real winners for us were the Green Papaya Salad (no extra meat), Pad Thai and Thai Fried Rice. When ordering, we had a conversation about our preferences. We were taken through menu options and told how the food is prepared. You can select your preferred spiciness on a scale from 1 to 10 to tweak it to your liking or experiment if you’re feeling adventurous! Definitely the best Thai restaurant in Los Christianos and probably the whole of Tenerife. It’s a small restaurant run by a lovely couple who are always warm and welcoming. I have been a couple of times and had takeaway once. The food is absolutely amazing and cooked to perfection by the husband, whilst his wife is the perfect host who takes the orders, serves the drinks and couldn’t be more welcoming. If your in Los Christianos and looking for a great Thai experience that’s very reasonably priced I couldn’t recommend highly enough.
