Achaar Bar | Indian Canteen — Restaurant in Barcelona

I don’t have words to describe how horribly awful the service is here. We arrived here at 9:35 pm and were told that a table is done and we can get their table. It took them 15 minutes to get their check and then another 15 to get the card machine, and we waited while standing outside in the wind for 30 to 40 minutes. With no care in the world they did not pay attention to us even once. Finally after they got up, we were ignored once AGAIN and we stood up ourselves and looked at the menu and decided our order (we had not even been given menus until so long) we called them multiple times yet no response. They finally after some time came to us with the menu and we told them that we our order ready even after that they took 10 more mins to get back to us to even take our order. After that its 10:45 right now and yet no food. They close at 11, no idea what’s gonna happen now. BUT I HAVE NEVER IN MY LIFE EXPERIENCED SERVICE THIS BAD. horrible horrible experience.

Update: we got the food. I would say it’s good (i was also starving) but the experience would have been way better if the former...

Excellent selection of natural wines and good service (by the girl) when it comes to selecting the wine for your taste. Atmosphere on point thanks to the well designed indirect lighting.

Really enjoyed the wines, though food is missing one star. Tikka masala had lots of tendons and we ordered extra spicy (mentioning not Spanish spicy, but extra spicy) and the dishes were still on a level of black pepper. Which though complimented the wine, have to admit, but was not meeting the expectations. Service by the food guy was a bit too odd and pushy (I’m surprised I mention this in Barcelona where it’s hard to even get noticed) and assumptions were made too quickly to kill the mood: when we wanted more wine we were asked “You want the bill?” and when we actually wanted the bill, he came to charge without giving us the bill to check first, etc weird nuances. Little things to improve, but will definitely visit again this interesting...

I stumbled across this restaurant by chance while waiting for a table elsewhere in Barcelona, and what an incredible find it turned out to be.

The food was excellent. Beautifully prepared, full of flavour, and a real showcase of quality ingredients.

But what truly made the experience unforgettable was the service, in particular from our waiter, Artem. His warmth, energy, and genuine passion for what he does were remarkable. He brought such a positive, uplifting atmosphere to our table, and his knowledge of wine was both impressive and engaging. It wasn’t just about recommending a bottle, he made the whole experience feel personal, fun, and memorable.
