Rude Service & Disappointing Experience — Locals Deserve Better
We came to this Italian restaurant in central Barcelona — just me, my daughter in her school uniform, and our small dog. It should have been obvious we’re locals, not tourists, and should have been treated with the respect and warmth this city is known for. Instead, the service was cold and dismissive from the start.
We asked for a Napoli pizza, but politely requested if one half could be left as just Margherita. The waitress rudely said no — even when I offered to pay for the full Napoli — and made the whole thing unnecessarily unpleasant.
We also ordered a burrata, which arrived after the pizza (strange timing), and were brought sparkling water even though we never asked for it. Just another small but telling mistake.
Throughout our meal, the waitress continued being cold and unfriendly — completely opposite of what you expect from an Italian restaurant or from anywhere in Barcelona, where hospitality usually shines.
It’s a shame. This is not a place we’ll be recommending to our guests, especially not as a spot to experience real, warm, local Barcelona spirit. Maybe we’ll return someday out of convenience — but not because we feel...

The water didn’t come so we asked the next waitress (young, blonde waitress) for two glasses of water. She told us they do not serve tap water, only bottled water. I informed her that it is the law in Spain so they cannot refuse. Without acknowledging me she walked away and brought us two glasses of water as we had asked for - quite rude and with an attitude as if I’d done something wrong.
I asked for garlic to be added to my pizza. One clove of almost raw, yes raw, garlic was added sliced. I had asked for it extra and hadn’t specified more so I didn’t mention anything. When paying I noticed they had charged €2 for the raw clove of garlic. I questioned this with the waitress who was very rude again and said it was a set price in the machine, which I suspect she just made up. She offered to reduce it to €1 but I said not to bother. She then went over to the chefs and other waiters about three metres away, and proceeded to complain about us, pointing at our table for the next...
Read moreWent to the Barcelona location in L'Eixample around 18:30 on a Wednesday. Not busy, 2-3 tables of people outside, one family of 4 inside, along with three solo diners. One server, one person on the pizza oven, and a random person in street clothes mopping the floor. Service was slow but friendly, the server forgot another tables food, and my drinks (bottle of water and one glass of wine) came out very slowly. The restaurant wasn't very clean, with a lot of clutter and dirty dishes on the bar right next to food items being used to put on the pizza. The music was very loud and it was metal rock, which seemed very misplaced for a pizza restaurant, the server was kind enough to turn it down when asked. The pizza was mediocre at best, and my wine was old and stale. I fell ill (gastro intestinal) that same night for two days, not sure if it was the pizza, however I would not be surprised if that was the culprit. 2/10 would...
