Brunch & Cake — Restaurant in Barcelona

Seriously it turned our stomachs!

I've never been to such a dirty place!!! Seriously! The floor looked as if it hadn't been swept or mopped for weeks, sticky and bits of food everywhere. Crazy that any staff member would leave it like that. The tables were stained and also sticky and there were so many flies. Especially around the food bin they scrape the leftovers in. Really gross to have that bin anywhere near customers.. surely have it out the back? We should have left straight away but we found it funny that the fancy Instagram place was such a sham. We ordered chia lattes that we couldn't drink as it was hot milk with an un stewed chai tea bag so basically hot milk. We both ordered variations of the avo on toast but our orders were given to us the wrong way round and we didn't discover it until after a few bites and it they where nothing special! The stain on the wall in view of everyone was gross and easily cleaned?? The fan and pots were covered in dust so glad the fan wasn’t on. The flower display out the front looked depressing and in hindsight it was an omen of things to come. Seriously don't go, we genuinely felt queasy for a few hours after eating food standards needs to pay them a visit! If the front looks like this… what is back like? I visited Brunch & Cake in Barcelona, and my experience was somewhat mixed. I ordered the Love Sunset drink with lemon and strawberry flavors, along with a pancake dish. In terms of design and decor, the place is very beautiful and reflects a refined taste in arranging details, making it an attractive place to visit. However, it was noticeably crowded, and even though I arrived early, I had to wait for quite some time.

The presentation was very impressive visually, as every small detail was carefully crafted to make the dish look appealing, which is a positive point worth mentioning. As for the taste, I expected something better, but it was rather mediocre to me and didn’t leave a memorable impression flavor-wise. The flavors were not as distinctive as I had hoped, making the experience less satisfying compared to other places I have tried.

The prices are somewhat reasonable, but they do not match the food quality I received, especially considering the restaurant is ranked among the top-rated in Barcelona. The staff were friendly and polite, which added a positive aspect to the experience worth noting. It’s a beautiful place 🤩😍 with super super delicious food 😋 It is located in the heart of the city and has “Instagram” vibes and I’m here for it 🥰 They specialize in brunch meals but with a healthy twist to it. Based on their menu, they don’t use refined sugar only raw ingredients.

Normally there is a line of people waiting to get a sit but it really depends on the day and time 👯‍♂️

Personnel: I really love guys working here. They are always smiling and so friendly. Sometimes they come and ask “how is it going” and it adds so much value to the whole experience. It feels like they care ☺️❤️ Also they speak English that is a huge plus.

Price: the prices are all on a higher side 💸Expect to pay around 15€ per person for a coffee ☕️ and pancakes 🥞 They also have eggs Benedict, açaí bowl, healthy salads and a lot more and, of course, the prices can go up.

It is a must place to visit (at least one time you should do this) 😍
