Bistro 42 — Restaurant in Barcelona

My wife and me are visiting Barcelona. She wanted tapas and this one popped up fairly close by on Google. I'm really glad that it did!

My wife had her tapas (which means I also had tapas) and the dishes she got were incredible. Particularly the chorizo.

I had Entranya (sp?) It was a Brazilian style steak with rice and beans and a little jar of the homemade chilli sauce. It was superb! And really filling.

The staff spoke good English (which was very much appreciated as I don't speak much of anything else), was really helpful with translations and describing the food and was extremely polite.

It felt like a nice, friendly atmosphere that was a hidden treasure for tourists and I highly recommend it.

Oh, and if that wasn't good enough, it was really well priced, even with beer and wine.

Absolutely going back again if I'm in the general area. Can't praise it enough, but at the same time feel that I've not...

Hidden little gem in Barceloneta! Just a small walk from the metro station of barcelona. The restaurant has limited places to sit, so it is better to come a bit earlier. The food was really good and reasonably priced! We choose to have different tapas and all were very good! All the tapas were very good, but the meat tapas (entrana and picana) suprised me the most. These very very delicious for the price that they are offered. I think from all the tapas restaurants in Barcelona we tried this was by far the best (and also the cheapest). I'm soooooooo happy I found this place. I just happened to stop there and have a drink one night and decided to try their food and I've been back so many times. Service is a bit slow and the food can take a little while, but just drink a (very cheap and delicious) sangria while you're waiting and it all ends up good. Their meat is great quality, and best of all they actually know how to cook a steak perfectly which is a bit hard to find in Barcelona! They're fries are some of the best I've ever had and their burgers are fantastic. Seriously, I can't recommend this place more - the food...
