I was in the area and looking for a tapas place to eat, and I was so glad I chose this one...I had a lovely meal here! :D I went for 3 dishes, two of them quite big for one person, but I was starving and munched the lot! ;) I went for the potato and onion tortilla, which came with bread and tomato...and it was very good! The tortilla was moist and a bit gooey still, just how I like it! The bread was crispy, and tomatoes full of flavour. After that, I chose a Bomba de la Barceloneta, a local dish which you have to try when Barcelona! It's basically a meatball, wrapped in mash potato, breaded and fried, and then served with brava & allioli sauces. It was very tasty...I'd definitely recommend it! Finally, I went for the battered fried cuttlefish (chocos). This was a big portion, but it was fried to order...the batter was light with a nice crunch and the pillows of cuttlefish had a bit of bite on the outside, but inside they were softwr...the perfect texture and flavour...they were divine! So if you're in the area, you have to check this place out! It's a family business now in its third generation dating back to 1955. The staff were also very friendly and chatty! Easiest 5 stars I've ever rated.

This bar is one for those who love finding a real local spot and enjoying the best of what the city has to offer. Close to the park so perfect for a lunch or dinner after a stroll near the boating lake, and you will find youself in amazing authentic barcelona streets. This place has 2 locations, and you can tell it's going to be good by the fact there can be a little wait for a table. It's worth it, the tapas was delicious, fresh and the portions are so good! The service was also incredible, and they accomodated my shelfish allergy superbly (for anyone else with this allergy going - you can't eat any fried dishes). And make it so easy for me to pick things I could have. This place is an absolute gem and prices were so good too considering. We left very happy and full and would definitely visit again! One downside I would mention in their 1st restaurant, (not sure re other location) the toilet is rediculously small (not accessible at all). I just used the loo in before I sat down to eat and it was fine, but one thing worth noting.

The BIGGEST disappointment of our trip! One of my friends recommended visiting this place and we spontaneously decided to go on a Sunday night, just before going to the airport. Something didn't feel right from the beginning - the guy with dreadlocks - the manager (I assume) - was visibly irritated and not happy the moment we stepped into the place. We asked for a table for 4 people and we would completely understand if they were too busy to serve us, however, nothing like that was communicated, so we sat down at the indicated table and ordered Las bravas del Jal-Ca, Calamares a la andaluza, some drinks and a dessert. The waitress suddenly brought 4 plates of squid and told us we ordered 4 portions when we clearly asked for just one, she couldn't stop laughing after coming back behind the bar & then she came back asking if we were still in the mood for desert.. Then if that wasn't ridiculous enough, the guy with dreadlocks approached our table and just kept starring at us.. We asked if everything was okay and he just said we were at the last table so… like we had to hurry because he wanted to go home 😳 The whole experience was just uncomfortable and annoying & I wish I could say something nice about the food at least, but I didn’t even like the squid & potatoes were quite oily as well 🥲 If you don't like your job - quit, if you don't want to serve people at a certain time - just say so, or offer drinks only - we would definitely understand that, but this whole situation was just getting worse and worse - I'll never recommend it to anyone.

Such a great tapas bar! I tried 3 different kind of tapas that was more than enough for one person. If you go with others, I recommend ordering different tapas and sharing them so that you can try more because they have a very wide selection and I would've loved to try even more but alone it just wasn't possible to eat more. The prices are very reasonable, the staff is friendly though they were a bit slow at the end taking my plates and bringing me the bill. The place is a bit loud and busy but it has nice vibes nevertheless. Try the crema catalana and the homemade chocolate truffles, they are both amazing! Huge plus that they take reservations (unlike many other restaurants in Barcelona where you can't count on being able to have dinner unless you are willing to queue up for God knows how long...). All in all, great place with a wide selection of traditional tapas for reasonable prices, I can only recommend.

Lovely restaurant in between a metro line and the beach. I have never had cuttlefish or the fried bones of anchovies before... Amazing and flavourful!! A glass of wine was €2.15 and beer was between €1.80-3.80 depending on size. We definitely ordered too much in the excitement to try new things. So for 2ppl: 6 tapas and drinks (bravas jai-ca, bread with tomatoes, muscles in marinara, prawns in garlic, cuttle fish, anchovies with fish bones, 3 glasses of wine, 4 beers) for €55 it was definitely worth the price. We walked in without a reservation but this place was packed!! We were lucky and were able to be seated right away but there was always a queue from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. I can see why. The food is just under tourist prices, staff is busy but attentive, food is flavourful and homemade.

L’animo catalano concentrato in pochi metri quadri. 5 stelle, tutte meritatissime.
