If I could give this place zeros I would! This is one of the worst hotels I have ever stayed at! My husband and I stayed here recently, the week of July 13-18th for our *honeymoon! Upon checking in we took notice of the lobby being updated and looking nice BUT is all a sham! The people at reception are rude and treated us like we were an issue. When we checked in they only gave us one room key which we thought was odd. We were so tired we had just traveled on a plane for 8+ hours and had to take a 2 hour train to Barcelona. We didn’t want to make a fuss. Upon entering our room we realized why they only gave us one room key. The room is powered (air conditioning) by an outlet with the room key. They do not want people running the air constantly aka they are cheap. This was just the start of it because when I went to use the bathroom I noticed ANTS near the toilet! Also, lots of mold in the shower. After further investigating we realized they were all over the room! The sheets had sand on them and the sash on the bed was stained with who knows…..the headboard had food stains and the wallpaper was stained and peeling. This was supposed to be a “premium” room. We were so upset and went downstairs to tell reception. We were very concerned about the ants. Reception proceed to tell us it’s “8pm”there is “no manager” and it’s “too late to change rooms there’s nothing open”. I was shocked so we left and went to a nearby restaurant and proceed to call other hotels for accommodation but because of it being July and later at night nothing was available. I didn’t know what to do. We had no choice but to go back. I barely slept because I was freaked out by the ants that were everywhere. I even found an ANT CRAWLING ON MY HAND! The next day we asked to speak with someone and “no one was available that could help us”. I didn’t want to let this ruin our honeymoon but it was incredibly upsetting and stressful. We tried calling other hotels and couldn’t find anything because it was last minute availability. We were literally stuck there and I cried. They wouldn’t even change our room. We went back to the room and I sprayed essential oils and used the cheap soap they left in the bathroom along the cracks of the walls in the room. There were still ants but not as much. On top of that at night it is really loud because of the paper thin walls, terrace, and guest. Since we only had sheets and no blankets my husband asked reception for a blanket and they told him we had them when we didn’t…. The whole stay was horrible! Everyday I asked to speak with someone… On our last day since we had no choice but to stay there I asked to speak with someone AGAIN and the person told me the manager “isn’t there” but when my husband and I said we have pictures and videos of the issues all of a sudden he wanted to “make this right” and “compensate” us. He gave me a business card to email/call. We had to catch a train to Madrid to finish out the rest of our trip and when I finally emailed/called guess what….nothing! Also, every time I call the manager isn’t there and no one returns my calls. I even got hung up on and talked to rudely *TODAY*. Please, do yourself a favor and stay away from this place. I wish my honeymoon didn’t have to start off like the way it did. This place is absolutely horrible and I hope no one experiences what we did. I forgot to mention we noticed we had bug bites on us after leaving.

I stayed at this hotel in the beginning of March. Generally, the location is great and rooms are nice too although there’s quite a bit of noise at night. In any case, I decided to write this review to warn people about the unsafe conditions in the hotel rooms and the response to (or the lack of) medical issues of the reception staff. On 3rd March at 11pm, I decided to make a cup of tea using the kettle and tea cup provided by the hotel in my room. I boiled the water, took the cup and poured the water into the cup. A second later, the cup exploded, with the water falling on my hand and leg, leaving me with 2nd/3rd degree burns. The pain was excruciating, but more importantly it’s something that’s extremely emotionally scarring, knowing that these wounds/scars will stay with me for the rest of my life. The night it happened was one of the worst nights of my life due to the pain, thankfully my friend who was staying with me was able to care for me as the hotel staff did not show any interest in my problem when my friend came down to the reception that night explaining that I got burned and I needed ice or some help. The next day I went to the hotel reception, showed my leg and calmly explained the situation. I asked them what to do as I’m in a foreign country and the pain was unbearable. The answer I got was ‘I don’t know, this was your fault and it’s an accident, manager is not here, maybe go to the hospital? I don’t know’. Seeing that I would not get any help here, I decided to go to the pharmacy to check if they could help me. Thankfully, they managed to give me some anti infection cream to keep my wounds safe as the risk of infection was very high (later my doctor confirmed this). The day after (5th) I decided to give it another try at the reception and speak to the manager. Only to be told that it’s not their fault and there’s nothing they can help me with, but they will remove the visitor tax fee (30€) from our booking (seemed more like they were making fun of me). No remorse whatsoever, no offer for refund or getting a doctor organized. Honestly, anything would’ve helped as it was so painful, but I felt more alone than ever before. We then finally checked out and I flew back to the UK, straight to the A&E. I was given an immediate tetanus vaccine, creams to use on my leg and had it wrapped firmly. Thankfully, the burn on my hand was not as severe. The doctor confirmed it was extremely dangerous for me to travel in this condition. Important to note is that throughout this communication with the hotel staff I really kept my cool and did not raise my voice at any point. Needless to say is that the cups provided in hotel rooms are not appropriate for hot drinks, despite the fact that they’re placed on the same tray as the kettle and the hotel staff do not care if their guests are in medical (or probably any other) danger. I will for sure not return and definitely do not recommend this hotel to anyone who cares about their well being when abroad. I’m attaching some pictures for you to form opinions of your own. P.S. The hotel rooftop is only open in the summer.

Hotel Oasis — The Ultimate “Surprise” Adventure in Barcelona If you’re a thrill-seeker who loves life’s unexpected twists, Hotel Oasis is your dream destination! Not only is it near the beach, but from the moment you check in, you’ll find yourself in the middle of a service and management “disaster movie” that just keeps giving. Let’s start with the mattress. You think you’re booking a hotel for a restful night’s sleep? How naïve! Hotel Oasis offers you the unique experience of sleeping on a trampoline. The mattress was so bouncy that every time I—or my partner—moved even slightly, we’d be launched into an unplanned bouncing contest. It felt like we were competing in a high-jump championship, except the prize was a sleepless night. But don’t worry—being “helpful,” the hotel agreed to change our room the next day. After a day of sightseeing, we eagerly returned to what we hoped would be a more comfortable twin-bed setup. Instead, we were greeted by a masterpiece of modern “trash chic”: yesterday’s dirty sheets still tossed in the corner and two bare, grimy mattresses lying on the bed frames. Perhaps they were trying to teach us a lesson in minimalism? Or maybe they wanted us to embrace the wild camping experience—you know, roughing it, but indoors? I quickly contacted the front desk in panic, and the hotel sent us a hero—a bartender-turned-housekeeper. She was clearly more comfortable mixing cocktails than making beds. Sweating nervously, she fumbled through changing the sheets while periodically calling for help, like someone in a reality TV show challenge. My partner and I couldn’t bear to watch, so we jumped in to help her finish the job. It turned into an unexpected team-building exercise, where the prize was… finally getting two made beds. By this point, I felt like I’d just completed an extreme sport, minus any sense of accomplishment. The next morning, I bravely asked the front desk for compensation. After all, who doesn’t want to be compensated for spending three hours cleaning their own hotel room? The front desk “kindly” documented my complaints, only to deliver the punchline: “Sorry, sir, you get nothing.” I almost expected them to add, “Next time, bring your own tent.” As a final touch, they very thoughtfully reminded me that I’m welcome to leave a bad review online. How considerate! They might as well have said, “Go ahead, we’ve seen it all.” So, if you’re looking for a stay full of surprises—where you never know whether you’ll be jumping out of bed or fixing it yourself—Hotel Oasis is the place for you! Remember, every stay is an adventure, and if you’re lucky, you might even get clean sheets!

P.S. The hotel rooftop is only open...

Where do I start! This hotel is hands down one of the best in Barcelona. We received a very warm welcome from the staff member on reception and he showed us around the down stairs of the hotel just after checking us in. The rooms are fantastic, we had booked an interior room but on arrival we were upgraded to an exterior room that looked out into a side street. The room facilities are great with strong air conditioning to keep things nice and cool because the temperatures this summer were so so hot, an empty mini fridge, a kettle, rainfall shower and ample space to hang up and put away clothes which is rare in a major European city. The beds are super comfy and firm with 2 large pillows. It was silent at night making for a great nights sleep. Each day our room was serviced even when we didn’t wake up until the afternoon from partying the night before! Most hotels only service rooms in the morning but to our surprise we returned each evening to a freshly made up room.

By far the best part of this hotel is the roof terrace with a small but perfectly sized pool to cool off after a very busy day exploring the city complete with drinks served to us in the pool. Most days we were attended to by Anna and Carlos. Words cannot describe how incredible they both are. They gave us a personalised level of service that you would only ever find in a 5 star hotel! They were able to give amazing recommendations for going out clubbing at night and generally made us feel so welcome, keeping the drinks flowing and making some really great conversation!

We didn’t have breakfast in the hotel but by the looks of the set up I can imagine it is quite nice with an option of a continental breakfast taken in the lobby bar or a buffet breakfast in the breakfast room at the back of the hotel.

The location is ideal with the metro stop just outside the door of the hotel, 15 minutes walk to Plaça Catalunya through the el born district which is stunning and a 5 minute walk to Barceloneta! Couldnt ask for a better base to explore the city!

Both my friend and I have said multiple times throughout our stay how we cannot understand how the official rating of this hotel is only 2 stars!!

Having family living just north of Barcelona I won’t be choosing any other hotel when I return throughout the year to visit because the location, price and most importantly the fantastic service cannot be beat at this hotel!

The only thing I do have to say (and this is not a complaint by any means) but it would be nice to have the roof terrace reserved for adults only after 6/7pm as most days there were kids in the pool jumping/splashing around and making a mess and the parents accompanying them did nothing despite being asked by several people including staff members to calm down. This should be common sense in such a nice/chilled out setting but unfortunately kids will be kids at the end of the day!

Thank you for an INCREDIBLE stay and without a doubt your staff are a credit to your hotel! I won’t hesitate to spread the word about this hotel to friends, family and colleagues back home!...
