Boldú Balmes — Restaurant in Barcelona

We ordered 3 drinks. We were happy talking with my friends but suddenly the lady server keeps on banging the plates and the glasses around 20:38 until the other one changed the rubbish bin and bang the door of the cabinet. So I asked if she was okay, she said yes, “it’s just the air,” but I’m not stupid because it’s not even windy. Seems like they wanted us to go out already. We totally understand that they mopped the floor and clean. But the banging of things so loudly, was very inappropriate. They even reason out that the one lady is pregnant. If they don’t like they’re job, then quit. Customers shouldn’t be treated like that.

Wow. I genuienly never knew donuts could be this delicious. Not just that, but a completely new donut experience. Whats shocking is that this is a branch - and branches arent well known for serving quality over quantity. The donut man is super cute aswell. The food is great but the stuff is NOT friendly AT ALL. I go to that place almost everyday (not anymore) and all I get is forced smiles and not a friendly voice, it seems like they are annoyed to be dealing with you.

To be honest, I've seen this in most Boldú places, not just this one. Maybe the working conditions aren't the best? No idea...

By the way, their level of english pretty much suck and they behave even worse with foreigners. It doesn't happen with me as I'm a local, but I see it everytime and tourists represent a good chunk of their customers...

La coma es buena, pero el personal NO es NADA amistoso. Voy casi cada día (aunque ya no más) y lo que recibo son sonrisas forzadas y siempre un tono de voz poco amistoso, como si les molestara atenderte.

Para ser justos, esto pasa en casi todos los locales Boldú que conozco. Tal ves las condiciones de trabajo no sean las mejores? Ni idea.

A todo esto, el inglés del personal es bastante malo en general, y son todavía más bordes con los extranjeros. Eso no lo sufro yo, pero e algo a tener en cuenta, dado que son un percentage bastante grande...
