Overrated and disappointing — style over substance We went to this place for brunch, drawn in by the hype and the long waiting list. Unfortunately, the experience didn’t live up to expectations at all.
The only real positive was the decor — the place looks cute and it was the only one în the area open. But that’s where the good things end. The coffee was really good? But, the cups, although they looked and felt nice, were so hot it was uncomfortable to hold them for the first few minutes — and the coffee itself wasn’t even that hot.
I ordered the Huevos Benedict and they were a real letdown. The eggs were jelly-like and tasteless, served on plain bread with bacon and a bit of salsa and 2 leaves of salad with no taste— no seasoning no taste. It felt like the bare minimum effort was put into the dish. No flavor, no creativity, nothing to make it memorable for a pretty big price. We go to a lot of brunch places but this was one of the worst.
With a waitlist at the door, we expected something much better. In the end, it felt like a place that relies on looks and reputation rather than actually serving good food. Not worth the wait...
Read moreWe visited this brunch spot drawn by its glowing (though limited) reviews, but unfortunately found it to be quite underwhelming — a recurring theme we’ve experienced at several newer places in Barcelona.
The pastrami was overpoweringly salty, the pickled onions had an unpleasant taste, and the burrata was served in surprisingly small quantities. Presentation lacked the care and appeal you’d expect at this price point — especially given that it’s noticeably more expensive than many other, far better, brunch places in the city.
We didn’t even feel inclined to try the sweets, as our experience with the savory dishes had already set a disappointing tone.
On a positive note, the service was friendly and attentive — unfortunately, not enough to outweigh the overall mediocrity...
