EDIT: Look at the response below and you can see how they completely don’t understand the concept of consent. I never said they used a taser (a taser will temporarily disrupt the movement of your body and if they used it they will surely be arrested by the police lol), but the thing is, you should NEVER ask for consent for physical pain via electric shock AFTER you do it. Consent needs to be sought BEFORE you inflict bodily pain on anybody, not after (and for what it’s worth we had to tell them to stop, they never asked if we are ok with it). If you walked around Barcelona and zapped strangers on the streets with your electric shock device without consent, they will call the police and you will be charged for assault, and I think that tells you very clearly where the line is. This is not “dark humour”. Direct infliction of physical pain is off limits, especially when you perform it on 16 year old minors (the fact that they use it as an excuse is disgusting). The bottom line is this: you cannot inflict physical pain on minors or adults in your game without explicit consent beforehand, and the fact that you still don’t understand that says a lot about your company. Especially in the case of 16 year old minors.
I would not recommend this to anyone. It seems like the guys running this don’t place any consideration for safety or boundaries, and I feel like they have violated our boundaries and possibly several laws too. There were no waiver forms, no briefings, no warnings.
The guys zapped us with painful electric shocks while blindfolded, they fired a blank round from a gun in close range, and had a minor explosive go off in one of the rooms, all without proper consent or notice or safety precautions. For all I know, they could have violated several laws with the way things are done. I’ve served in the military and have fired guns and blanks before, and even then we took more safety precautions than the guys did here. The guy literally fired a blank round in close range in front of us, in a small dark room.
The main issues I have are that they did not communicate how extreme they will take things (IMO actually inflicting physical pain on participants crosses the line between immersion and abuse), that they did not take enough safety precautions with their firearms and explosives, and that they did not communicate or understand our boundaries before inflicting pain, restraining all of us, or firing off the explosives.
I had the first panic attack I’ve ever had in my life today because they blindfolded me, told me to get into a cage, handcuffed both of my hands tightly to the sides of the cage so that I cannot move my hands at all, and then moved and spun the cage around (it was a trolley but to me it felt like a cage because I was blindfolded). I was blinded, disoriented, and heavily restrained right from the start, with absolutely zero warning, consent, or safety communications, and experienced the first panic attack I’ve ever had in my life. When I shouted and sounded off that I’m having a panic attack, the guy just told me to wait while he continued shouting at us. I had to shout 2-3 times before he realised that the proper thing to do would be to undo my blindfold and undo my handcuffs.
There is a line between immersion and abuse, and the line actually isn’t that fine when it comes to escape rooms. These guys have clearly crossed the line several times tonight, and while one of our friend liked the experience, 2 of us felt traumatised by the experience at multiple points in the night but decided to finish it.
I will not recommend this to anyone unless they are fully briefed on the physical pain they will endure, the close range blank gunshots, and the minor explosive in the room, before they sign on for the escape room. The lack of safety and boundaries communication is alarming to...
Read moreIt was like being part of an action movie, not being locked in a room with some board game puzzles. The amount of detail and preparation that has gone into this experience is unbelievable. The acting, storyline, setting, prop, comedy--everything about it was incredible.
The story and puzzles were tailored to our group involving each of us personally making it feel so immersive rather than the awareness you feel of being in a generic escape room that you're aware loads of people have played before.
Clues were incorporated into the experience so seamlessly, rather than being made to feel like cheats they contributed to the humour or fear or suspense.
Beyond the game, when we got out the crew were so nice and professional, really really impressed. We literally spent the rest of the afternoon just going over all the different bits the experience because we couldn't believe how great it was.
You're missing out if you don't...

Palabrotas - Drogas - Bichos - Sexo - Violencia - Juego
No podemos contaros mucho más, ya que si lo hacemos Barcelona no será lo suficientemente grande como para huir de ellos. Eso sí, recordad, es su barrio y por tanto ellos...
