We just came off a 7-day "foodie experience" cruise, and are staying in Barcelona for a few nights at Hotel Casa Sagnier. Decided to stop-in at the hotel restaurant for a quick bite and we were both absolutely blown away. Hubby had burger & fries - burger was perfectly juicy & just the right amount of messy, and the fries were exceptional. I had the octopus, which melted in my mouth. It was expertly cooked, with exactly the right seasonings and accompaniments. It's a small portion, but when followed with their creamy cheesecake & a couple of chocolate truffles, it was heaven. And just to round it out, their P* Star Martini is to die for. I'm not a big drinker, but 2 of those went down so wonderfully smoothly. Service was top-notch and relaxed, we never felt rushed while also never feeling like we had to wait long for anything we ordered. All in all, a delicious lightweight dinner, just right for a hot summer evening, in a perfect location for some prime people-watching, from a couple of Canadians who are just trying to bask in the beauty of this amazing city and country for the few short days that we have available! Read moreWhat a find. My girlfriend and I were simply walking past and it looked inviting. The side windows have a shelf and stools outside for smokers and I could sit opposite her inside (in the warm) with the window open talking and drinking a wine. Very elegant looking restaurant and the young staff are excellent. Perfect service everyday we went. We haven't found the tapas we liked but the family LOVED the variety of Mediterranean dishes and quite authentic, very tasty with an excellent range of beers and drinks. They brought the wine bottle (for me Gin bottle) to the table and poured in front of us. I haven't seen that level of service for many years. Fine service indeed!!
I highly recommended this bar for its comfort and service and you know again excellent pricing for...
Read moreGuys-I almost don’t want to post this bc I want to keep this a secret but this is my now now book-marked place that I wish we had back where we lived in the states. Classy ambiance, coffee with oat milk was so smooth, please order the veggie chips, I had the ham and cheese on brioche, with the freaking delicious salmon salad (avocado, spinach, red onion, walnut, and light dressing). This place we stumbled upon to take a break turned into a dinner place for us where we thoroughly enjoyed two cups of coffee and enough delicious food to fill us. We are definitely coming here again. The service was superb (thanks Roger and the lady with the blue blazer), the restroom was upscale, and their restaurant section had bookshelves as decor. I love this...
