Phenomenal food but the worst service I have ever experienced. It’s almost shocking. We were a group of 5 people, celebrating a birthday. We came late but apologized and had to wait for our last friend. We asked to start ordering the starters and then she could come after for the main course. This was not an option they said. As they can’t leave a Menue on the table (is this a Michelin rule or just made up) - they didn’t communicate that the restaurant therefore won’t have enough time for all courses so we didn’t expect any issues. When we had ordered (many dishes to share) they brought the food as if they needed us to swallow fast and without enjoyment. They even grabbed the soup from our friend before she finished just to rush through. At some point (after they continuously grabbed the plates from us without the full table being finished) we asked if it is common to do this because it was disturbing and not suitable for a Michelin star restaurant. That’s when the waiters started to be rude and respectless in an upfront way. They took the plates of us individually whenever someone got finished with a course, not waiting for us to properly finish and brought the next course as if we were pigs to be fattened. We multiple times asked if there was an issue but they didn’t communicate other than being unfriendly. By grabbing the plates they would even lean over us or took the side dishes without having finished. We had to wait 20 minutes to get our next bottle of vine and after the main dish they immediately brought the dessert menu (we asked for a quick decision time and then gave the birthdayperson the present - in those 5 minutes we got approached 3 times by the waiters if we decided on the dessert. We then said we just need this moment (why don’t you have manners) and I asked if there was even enough time for dessert - as they clearly rushed this whole dinner in a not enjoyable way - they pretended there is no rush but when we asked for 5 more minutes one waiter gave a very theatrical sigh to make us very uncomfortable. Being asked if there is a problem he obnoxiously walked away ignoring the question. Then the supervisor came and I said we now decided not to order a dessert. She then grabbed loudly the Menues by leaning over the whole table without another comment and left. We were super confused and truly were disappointed by the evening. All this while there were many other tables also still being served and treated differently. If you pay around 100-150€ per person for a dinner, you expect to not be treated as if you are a burden. Never in my life have I not tipped but this time I had hoped they get the hint (all friendly questions regarding their irritating behavior previously got ignored, and well we were never asked how we liked it) It’s a pity to be serving such exquisit food when the service ruins the full experience - a huge disappointment and a once and never experience. Sad but there are many great restaurants in Barcelona that actually enjoy their guests. Apologies to the amazing sommelier and the waiter with a bun. You did a good job unlike the rest of the team. Maybe they should reconsider their career choice. Reading other comments it seems it was not a bad day or an exception but a systematical mistreatment of guests. Hopefully this is being used as criticism to reflect on. You have the power to make other people happy and make their (special) day exceptional. But you clearly ruined an experience. By simply using clear communication we could have skipped on a course or being told what made you rush, but being this unprofessional, is a shame on your profession and a disrespect to the chef that puts all effort in...

Nestled in the vibrant city of Barcelona, Petit Comite is a renowned Michelin star restaurant that promises an unforgettable dining experience. As a food enthusiast, I had the pleasure of indulging in their culinary creations recently, and I must say, it was an extraordinary gastronomic adventure.
The highlight of my meal at Petit Comite was undoubtedly the calamari dish. Prepared to perfection, the calamari was tender and succulent, showcasing a delightful balance of flavors. The chef's expertise was evident in every bite, leaving me mesmerized and declaring it the best calamari I've ever had. The dish truly embodied the essence of the sea, elevating it to new heights.
When it came to desserts, Petit Comite continued to impress. The array of sweet treats presented before me was simply mind-boggling. From decadent chocolate creations to delicate fruit-infused delights, each dessert was a masterpiece in its own right. The attention to detail and the harmonious blend of textures and flavors showcased the chef's creativity and skill, leaving me in awe with every bite.
Moving on to the service, while it was overall good, there were a few minor shortcomings that prevented it from being exceptional. One aspect that stood out was the need to pour my own wine on a couple of occasions. For a Michelin-starred establishment, I expected a more attentive and seamless service, particularly when it came to such details. However, this minor flaw did not overshadow the overall dining experience, as the servers were polite and knowledgeable, providing recommendations and accommodating special requests.
The ambiance of Petit Comite is worthy of praise. The restaurant exudes a sophisticated yet cozy atmosphere, with tasteful decor and soft lighting that sets the stage for an intimate dining experience. The attention to detail extends to the presentation of each dish, as the plating is a work of art in itself. The seamless integration of modern elegance and warmth creates a welcoming and comfortable environment for guests to savor their culinary journey.
The wine selection at Petit Comite deserves a special mention. The sommelier has curated an impressive collection of wines from renowned vineyards, offering a diverse range of options to complement the exquisite flavors of the dishes. Whether you are a wine connoisseur or a casual enthusiast, you will find the perfect pairing to enhance your dining experience.
In conclusion, Petit Comite is a culinary gem in the heart of Barcelona. The exceptional calamari dish and mind-boggling desserts alone make it a destination worth visiting. While the service could have been slightly better, the overall experience was still memorable and delightful. The ambiance and impeccable wine selection further contribute to the restaurant's allure. For those seeking a refined and unforgettable dining experience, Petit Comite is a...
Read moreMost of the time when I leave a review, it’s to support restaurants I appreciate—and also to help others who might want to visit. My goal is to offer constructive feedback, not to criticize for the sake of it.
Service: The experience started off a bit rocky. The first waiter (a young man) forgot my very simple order: still water with lime. That was all I asked for, yet I had to repeat myself—and still received lemon instead of lime. To make matters worse, he interrupted me while I was on the phone. Please, train him. He struggled to understand basic requests, and eventually, I was assigned a different waiter, which improved things.
Tasting Menu (€90): • Gazpacho – Absolutely perfect. Refreshing and balanced. 👌 • Cannelloni – Excellent. One of the highlights. • Scallops on Artichoke Purée – Unfortunately, these elements didn’t complement each other. Both are good separately, but together the dish felt unbalanced and cheapened the experience. 3/10. • Monkfish – The potatoes in the sauce were overly salty, and the dish itself just wasn’t interesting. I’d recommend replacing it with something smaller and fresher. • Beef – It was okay. Unfortunately, I was already full (and very hungry when I arrived), so I couldn’t enjoy it as much as I might have. The pacing of the meal could be improved.
Wine: I want to give full credit for the excellent selection of Catalan wines. Thoughtful and well-curated—definitely a strong point of the restaurant.
Final Thoughts: One clumsy waiter can really damage a guest’s first impression. When the food averages around 6/10, service becomes even more critical. The restaurant is Michelin Guide recommended, but they have a way to go before earning a star. With a few adjustments, especially in training and pacing, they could elevate the...
