Casa Farruco — Restaurant in Barcelona

I am not a person that writes reviews in general, but if I could, I'd give -10. It's not a place to eat, but rather get wasted. Everything inside is really old, dirty and disgusting, a few alcoholics with swollen faces sitting at the front of the entrance. The guy in the kitchen cutting everything bare handed (we don't know where that hand was before touching food), with the same clothes that he is wearing outside. The kitchen inside is disgusting too, some old rugs hanging all around it (you can see it through the open space), dirty pots with fried old food leftovers. Flies are walking on the hams that are hanged on the wall. The waitress has dirty hair, nails, clothes, but she is trying to be kind. Do not recommend if you wanna have a nice dinner and you value the most basic hygiene and atmosphere. Before trying this place, I wasn’t much excited about Spanish food, but after this place it’s completely changed. Just tells me how little effort other cafes put into their food. This place feels like the most comfortable home food you imagine to try in Spain. So flavorful and so fresh. The waitress lady did a great job making us appreciated in amazingly fed. I liked the atmosphere what I felt from the first steps. Both owner, waitress and even ordinary guest were here like at home. Especially we liked the young wine, we could easily drink one bottle per person. Food is also nice, tasty and freshly cooked.
