Hidden gem. EXCELLENT meal, really liked every dish, and great service. Highly recommend. Can't go wrong with any of the tapas. Overall Rating: (10/10). Quite expensive but this place is the epitome of the phrase: "Quality over Quantity". . . .
I made a booking for a family lunch with my mom when we were in Barcelona. I followed the restaurant on instagram and was excited to try. I made a booking over the phone and received 2 confirmations via a text message on 11.07. When I was making a reservation over the phone, I was told that there were plenty of tables for any time on 12.07 during lunch, and it was the evening before my booking. On the day of reservation, 12.07 I called the restaurant to ask them to shift my booking for just a bit later as we could not make it on time. It was just before the restaurant even opened. But the girl who took my call was extremely rude and said that they didn’t have my booking. I replied that I had the SMS confirmation and could show them but she said they couldn’t not shift it anyway “EVEN IF you had it” as they were fully booked (suddenly, before the opening even and considered I spoke with them the night before and any time was available). I told her that we would just come a half an hour later as we already had a booking anyway and the table was reserved for us for 2 hours but she wouldn’t listen and said that EVEN IF we had a booking we HAD TO COME NOW (before the booking time) to keep it. Probably they got my name right, but don’t you guys know how to act in this case? Super rude and unpleasant person, hope she won’t work at this industry anymore. Family lunch was almost ruined but we found a great place with amazing food and service. Avoid Casa Lolea, the good place won’t have such a...

Out of all the places we tried in Barcelona, at Casa Lolea we had the most autentic experience, with the most delicious dishes and Sangria.
First of all, we recommend trying the no. 2 and no. 4 Sangria (White Sangria with hint of vanilla and citrus & fruity Red Sangria with cardamom). We also bought 2 shots of Limoncello and we loved it.
Then, we had melon with Iberian ham which was an authentic and very tasty tapas; the cheese board was very nice and the patatas were served with a really creamy & nicely flavored sauce. The salmon tapas for 2 was fresh and good as well.
In the other evening we had the truffle orzo which was very creamy and tasty (really recommend it), the octopus ceviche (recommend it) and the “coca” with tomatoes and garlic, which you had to prepare yourself and we really enjoyed it. We also had salmon for 1 and some olives, again very tasty.
The only dessert we had was crema Catalana which resembles the Creme Brulee, but the texture of the cream was a bit creamier and it had some spices (including cinnamon) on it which made it very special. Really really recommend it!
The staff was very nice and friendly and they made our experience even more beautiful, as we had to go 2 times to test all of their tapas in the menu.
The best food experience in...
