Booked a table on the off chance that an 8pm sitting was going to work after a long day of pounding Barcelonas streets.
Very near and convenient to El Clot subway station Diegoâs does not disappoint.
External seating a little noisy for a mid evening meal (traffic was still buzzing by) so we opted to sit indoors.
What a fabulous restaurant with lovely space. A friendly greeting by staff, hellos and welcomes coupled by a great drinks menu and a few appetiser snacks.
We chose a great bottle of Organic Red and some Cokes for the kids, coupled with 2 Bellinis for wife and daughter to add some sparkle.
Everything was fresh in the Bellini - delicious purĂŠed peach and a lovely Cava.
Tapas and Paella ordered we opted for Cider Sausages, Cuttlefish, mixed Paella (chicken and fish), Goats cheese salad, Jamon and Eggs, or course Patatas Bravas and for the youngest THE BEST Chicken and Chips we have ever seen.
Possibly a moment of eyes bigger than belly, it took us 2 hours to finish the 7 plates and sadly a few cider sausages remained.
Defeated, but stuffed to the brim with delicious we departed Diegoâs delighted with dinner and will be booking another table in the next week to try all the other amazing things on the menu.
10/10 for food, and 10/10 for lovely service and staff...
Read moreJust do it! This is my first ever review. My experiences at Diegos has inspired me to leave a comment. Our families were visiting Barcelona from Canada and Germany. Planning this vacation meal was not a simple task but based on the reviews from google maps and trip advisor we chose Diegoâs because it appeared authentic and tourist friendly. We were not disappointed. There was a scan code on the table top which gave access to a picture menu in english which made it easy to order. Our 2 families totalling 6 people shared the vegetable paella, Mar y montaĂąa Diegos, and a variety of tapas. The food was great! And Diegoâs did not feel like those pushy mediocre places on the tourist spots. More than reasonable prices. Thanks Diegos for the best dining experience we had in Barcelona. Our 12 year old children also enjoyed it without the need for chicken fingers,...
Read moreI'm a single mum to a 6 month old boy and I have been finding it hard to cook fresh like I did before I became a mother so I usually end up having to get a takeaway. Bare in mind I love cooking and I'm very good at it so for me it's hard and often frustrating buying takeaway only to be disappointed in the food. Diegos is always my go to restaurant, I use glovo and sometimes I buy from the 3 times in a week because I know they will never fail me. Not only is the food good, fresh and delicious but diego himself is a sweetheart. One thing I wish they'd stop doing though is removing the skin from the chicken in the paellas đ. Apart from that I highly recommend...
