El mejillon — Restaurant in Barcelona

One of the worst places I ever went to. We had the mixed paella for two and it was the worst paella I've ever eaten. Nothing was fresh and everything was tasteless and after we told the waiter, he just said that the mixed paella was always tasteless and ignored us. As well as the rice being mush, the food left me feeling kind of sick. On top the prices were way to high for the quality of the food and everything felt like it was just reheated. I would never reccomend this restaurant/taps bar to anyone. This is my first review I ever wrote, because I was never so disappointed in a place and their food and I just feel like I have to warn other people to not make the same mistake we did, by letting the waiter convince us...

A stain on the beautiful city of Barcelona...

We were caught in the rain after the restaurant we planned to go, Quimet & Quimet, was closed due to the Assumption holiday. This morally questionable restaurant made both of us extremely ill. They served us a lobster paella with the meat gray and the mussels unopened (due to the meat being rotten). I wish I would’ve seen this before I ate the calamari which made us both immediately nauseous. The owner admitted he served us rotten food and wanted to serve us another paella after we fell ill. He made us pay for the calamari before leaving. Miserable experience....

Just like most of the reviews, I can mostly complain about the service... Terrible. The waitress is not friendly at all, maybe even rude with no reason and the waiting time is oddly long even when the place is empty. Another employee just sitting down drinking beer. Even if the food was amazing, the whole experience is not desired. Hope they can improve their service, decoration was...
