El Plato Rico — Restaurant in Barcelona

It is not exagerated to say that this restaurant is a hidden gem in Barcelona. It is not big and fancy, rather suitable for small groups, but the food is incredibly tasty. The food was so good that we decided to eat here twice during our stay in Barcelona. The staff is very kind and welcoming, the service was perfect. The portions are big enough and the prices are budget friendly. I have visited more fancier restaurants in Barcelona, but this one has best food, and I would rather eat here again and again than trying other places. Was searching for a place to watch Champions League football. A local guy tipped this restaurant, since El Plato Rico has sports channels. We asked for football and the staff was very friendly.

I had patatas bravas and grilled pork ribs. The patatas bravas were very fresh compared to other places in Barcelona. The grilled pork ribs were beyond excellent and really value for money.

A restaurant I would like to visit again once I'm around! I certainly recommend...

For a delightful evening out look no further than this wonderful family run restaurant. The service was brilliant and the waitress helped us to select a great bottle of wine for the evening. The food itself however was the crown jewel of the experience, all prepared by hand by the owner and chef who added a Nepalese flair to a well balanced spanish/mediterranean menu.
